Perfect for a weekend. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was super good! SPA is nice, but not very big, so book on arrival :) location is not very central, 20-25 min walk to the centre.

We enjoyed the Amathus area where we visited the large archaelogical site and spent an extremely interesting couple of hours there. We parked our car at the hotel for our 4 day trip and didn't use it until we left. We walked the coastal path both ways several times during the 4 days, stopping along the way for coffee or a cool drink and to people-watch. Limassol, especially mid town and near to the port, is extremely busy trafficwise and we opted not to venture there this time. We were half board in the Hotel this time so didn't eat out, but along the coastal path there are plenty of nice looking places to eat including a Fish Tavern at the far end of the path heading in the opposite direction to Limassol.

There were all kinds of sport facilities: basketball, football, ping pong etc, and the most popular hiking trails in Troodos are close by car. Since there was a problem with the electricity when we arrived, we had the opportunity to try both the small house and apartment type accommodations. You can have more privacy with a house, as it has an own kitchen, but the rooms are much smaller and the wifi signal was very weak, practically none. The apartment was much more spacious, but if you want to cook, you need to use a shared kitchen. There was even netflix in the apartment that was missing in the house and unlike in the house, the wifi worked properly. You need to have whatsapp on your mobile, as you get check in info by whatsapp. They have a phone number and they were responsive, could communicate in English.

It was very good to discover a small medieval town away from mass tourists who are only there to sunbathe. We were interested in learning the history of Cyprus, Lofou offered other aspects of Cyprus other than the sea, swim and sun. We were sorry to miss Joseph the manager when we left., he was most friendly and helpful in every way. Thank you Joseph!

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries...

Omodos is a beautiful village with lots of nice wineries near by. It can get busy with coach parties but that is to be expected. Most restaurants and cafes close early evening so not a great deal to do in the evening. Wear comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking round all the narrow streets but it is so worth it. We have visited several times and enjoy it each time.

If you want traditional Cypriot food try The Hideaway or The Two Friends, and for something a little different The Bunch of Grapes - at busy times, best to book a table so your not disappointed!! The village also has a large Ampitheatre that hosts bands from the uk etc.

Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Agros is very, very clean and the water is super tasty)

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at Ambelikos Traditional Hotel. We stayed in the Supreme Room with a fireplace and spa bath, and it exceeded all expectations. The room had clearly just been renewed and felt fresh, stylish, and extremely comfortable. The fireplace added a cosy touch, and the spa bath was perfect for relaxing.

We visit Limassol because we have family there.

We visit Limassol because we have family there. However, if I was being objective, I would say that it is a nice city to stay at as a base. Especially if you are the kind of person that gets restless after a couple of subbed days! The old town is nice but very busy, difficult to find parking and cars speed past you on tight roads so be aware/careful. However, there are nice stores and cool little bars/cafes there. The Marina is nice but busy. There are loads of restaurant options for all budgets in Limassol. Judt bear in mind its busy, so if you are looking for a quiet beach resort holiday, Limassol is not it. But you don’t have to travel far to find nice quiet beaches and quaint villages.
