Barcelona is a beautiful city. So clean & the streets in the main areas are so wide however in peak times you need these wide streets to hold all the people in the street. I was in Athens 40 years ago and little has changed. I have travelled most of Greece and everything then and now seems to be a new experience for any information persons ie how do I get to Olympia? If you can put up with the total lack of help, lack of simple information from information persons, taxi drivers who at every turn feel it is necessary to rip people off then come to Greece. Use Uber! Did the tour from Athens to Meteora which was a long day but great. Greece works on Greek time which can be 30 mins to 1 hour difference with departures! No sidewalks to speak off so be careful when walking or moving with a suitcase. Food cheaper than other European countries. Málaga is a great city destination. 3 days probably enough to be in the city although the eating and drinking options were huge for a longer stay. A week overall was perfect for us as we made a 2 day trip to Granada (easy train journey), a tour to El Caminito del Rey (Unmissable) and a day trip to Ronda and Setenil. Valencia is a delight – from its charming cafés and kind locals to must-try dishes like paella, octopus, churros, and horchata. The city also has plenty of specialty coffee spots with great service, and we could still swim in the sea in early October. The Oceanarium with its dolphin show and beluga whales was amazing, and there was even a city festival during that time, which made the experience even better. Getting around was easy – the buses and trams work great; we even went to the beach by bus and tried the hybrid tram-metro once. Nice is the perfect place to visit, loads to do, great transport facilities. From the old town to the modern shopping district, to the wonderful seafront. The port offers boat trips and the trams go right down into the harbour area. The beautifully kept parks provide seating and children’s facilities. Fantastic city, tons of history and architecture to see, feel and go around. This has to be a better city for history than most (I liked it better than Rome). Very chaotic and busy, don't expect tidiness or litter free environments. Feels very friendly once you get used to the hustle and bustle. We liked the hop on hop off bus though we couldn’t get the audio to work on our phones. The MuCee is great with excellent exhibitions and a sunset cruise on a sailing boat was lovely especially if you are young and happy to swim.But it was also good for an old couple. Like us. Like a lot of French towns, it is difficult to get a sandwich type lunch and also dinner in the evening as lots of restaurants closed in the evening.
