Excellent service! Reception staff is exceptionally helpful, genuinely friendly. The first night I came late and the girl in the restaurant was very kind to fix a dinner for me, thou the kitchen was almost closed. I have lost a small ring and the girl at the reception was helping me to look for it and found it ( she spoke perfect Spanish too!). The gentleman waiter in the restaurant was very professional, despite me not speaking German he was advising me the best dishes. Food was excellent, so I had lunch and dinner there everyday of my stay.

The location is quiet with many very well signposted walks from the hotel. I loved the view from the hotel and the small chapel a 50m up a small hill from the hotel. Looking at the meadows surrounding the small hamlet I was very impressed by its rich biodiversity. Apparently the whole valley had been farmed organically for many years. The food was excellent with many gluten free options. I hope to return soon to explore more of the beautiful nature and mountains.

I'm so pleased we stayed here, on a long road trip between the UK and Croatia this was just what we needed. We were travelling with a dog, and there are abundant walks from right outside the door. The hotel is beautiful, a collection of 3 large buildings connected with an underground passageway, and the facilities are exceptional. Bedroom was spacious and immaculate, we had the best nights sleep, dinner was excellent, breakfast was every bit as good. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Dont be fooled by the typically traditional exterior, whilst the restaurant fits expectations, so many other parts of the hotel have been beautifully finished, and there are wow moments around every corner. I simply couldn't fault it. We would have loved to have stayed an extra night but time was pressing. Next time we definitely will. This is the sort of place to escape to, to be at one with nature (you have to find the natural pool in the river under the waterfall) to simply kick back and relax.

The location is amazing, perfect for families and its pet friendly hotel, rooms are spacious, area is very well kept, we were looking for something exactly like this (it was not holiday) it was stop over for our long journey and we absolutely loved it. The local food for breakfast and also on menu (recommend very much) and also very nice surroundings int he walking proximity beautiful promenade and gardens and nice restaurants and bars in the area. We did not see many tourist from abroad but it seems a great place for cycling. The nature is amazing. Very calm beautiful place, perfect for kids. The lake is 5 min walk (even visible from the hotel). We are putting in on the list for our next stop over.

Ruhpolding is an excellent location for walks, with beautiful scenery in every direction. There are many attractions such as chairlifts, swimming pool, crazy golf etc ,some of which are free of charge with the Visitor Card. Also, bus and local train services are free of charge. We have been to Ruhpolding 15 times and and have enjoyed every holiday even when the weather has not been very favourable.

We were there to travel to the island of Herrenchiemsee but could have taken in the other islands too if we had longer. The lake was so beautiful on the days we were there and this is the mainstay of the town The boats were well organised for what we needed and it was easy to navigate buying tickets and parking I believe the hotels and guest places are all very good - we stayed at Zum Fischer am See which was fabulous Not sure if one could do lots of weeks there - but the setting was relaxing and stunning - nature provided all the buzz we could ask for

Inzell is beautiful, lovely views, restaurants, cafes and activities to do. The chiemgau karte is the reason we can back. We hired bikes, played crazy golf, painted pottery, adventure golf, tyre sliding, indoor & outdoor pools, chair lifts, the buses, trains etc all on the card for free. We were then able to buy drinks/ snacks/ dinners at all the venues. It was fantastic. Ban Thai restaurant, Kreinburg, salvatone, vroni & lindl brauer restaurants were all very tasty. More buses on a Sunday would be better.

Reit in Winkl is a lovely Bavarian village that has everything you need, and great access to other areas and facilities just a short drive away. It is right on the doorstep of a great family friendly ski area (Winklmoos/Steinplatte) and easy travelling other areas such as St Johann or Kitzbühel.

Food was good at their restaurant and not expensive. All other hotels were closed and no too much to do in the town either. Pity , it is a small village. We were cheated because we have not received the room as shown on bookingcom Personal at reception desk were rude and unpolite. Did no show any curtesy any interest to improve their rude attitude.

Rosenheim is an intermediate town between Munich and Salzburg. The town is pleasant but unremarkable. For rail travellers it is a good (and often cheaper) base to to explore these cities as well as the Chiemsee, Berchtesgaden and the Bavarian mountains. The local Flotzinger brewery, restaurant and beer garden are recommended but are so popular with local people that unreserved places can be scarce (especially when rain closes the garden)

I came to Ruhpolding to watch the World Cup Biathlon race held there. The town is beautiful and easy to get to via auto or train. My hope is to return in the summer sometime and enjoy hiking and other outdoor activities.

Eat lunch at Klosterwirt or zur Linde in Fraueninsel and bring enough cash to buy some souvenirs at the Klosterladen. Ps: wait until sunset by the beach and wake up early to smell the fresh breeze near the lake.

It's a small town, you'll see familiar faces every day while walking around :P. The food is yummy and there are a lot of mountains that you can walk or run. People here are also really friendly. Grüß Gott!
