The room was perfect, very large, and comfortable. The TV's were wifi enabled, meaning we could watch Netflix which for us novice German speakers it allowed us to watch English speaking shows. The breakfast was so nice all fresh from the breads to the warm croissants to the scrambled eggs and bacon all brill. The staff were so helpful and spoke English, by the second day they new our drinks order for breakfast. Overall a brilliant place and only 8 mins drive to Europapark.

Staff is super friendly, the Hotel building is well maintained and feels "homey", the location is great, yes, this is not in the middle of the forest and there aren't any lakes and fall views from the window BUT - it isn't super touristy yet close enough to Rust and the Black Forest without being super crowded and expensive which is a major plus for large families like ours. Another thing to mentioned is the good AC, we were traveling during August and feared the heat and it turned out to be just fine because of it.

Thrills and Spills in Tranquil Surroundings

The most popular theme park in Europe after Disneyland Paris, Europa-Park in Rust is a huge complex with 16 themed areas, most named after parts of Europe.

Spread across these zones are 11 rollercoasters including Euro-Mir, a spiralling ride based on Russian space missions, and Silver Star – the 2nd highest rollercoaster in Europe. The zones also offer shows, children’s rides and eating and entertainment areas, including a 4D cinema.

There are lots of apartments, guest houses and hotels near Europa-Park Germany on Booking.com, many offering free transfers to the park. Of all the Europa-Park hotels in Rust, 5 are located within the park grounds and are also individually themed, including one designed like part of the Colosseum in Rome.

The nearest towns to Rust are Rheinhausen and Kappel-Grafenhausen, close to the Rhine River that forms the border with France. Ringsheim forms a triangle with the other 2 and is surrounded by fields.

Further afield, Ettenheim has striking squares and fascinating facades. Kenzingen and Allmannsweier have some colourful, half-timbered houses, as does Herbolzheim which is also close to the Breisgau golf course. Simple but clean room for a family within an easy walk of Europapark. Breakfast was superb and the staff were very pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. We were able to find street parking within 100m of the hotel both nights. Weather wasn't great while we were there, so we didn't use any of the outdoor areas, but they looked like they would be very nice on a better day.

Rust is nice when you want to go to Europa Park.

Rust is nice when you want to go to Europa Park. Other friends of mine prefer Ringsheim because it’s cheaper, but i walk to Europa Park, eat fruhstuck at the bakery, and i can drink beer or wine without having to drive my car, because it is at the pension. Also saves you 10 - 15 euro per day!

Ringsheim is a lovely village and near to transport such as the train station. Sadly the covid lockdown as caused quite a lot of the restaurants and bars to close, There is an Italian pizzaria and a bakers shop that are well worth a visit.

it's best if you have a car.

it's best if you have a car. If you, you have to mindful of the bus times as they do not work all day on Sundays. the frequency is quite wide on weekdays and you need to plan accordingly. There are taxi services available but you need to call in to request it

Ettenheim is an easy town to get around.

Ettenheim is an easy town to get around. There are facilities all arounds, restaurants, shops, grocery stores. There is a lot of history in the old town to visit ; the church and cemetery are a good example. A short drive can take you to other villages and where you can eat in local gasthauses. The nature side of Ettenheim should not go unnoticed as many walking/biking paths take you all around to other villages. It is also very close to go to Europa park (10km) which not only boast a very large amusement park but magnificent hotels where to grab a drink or a bite.

We were turned away by the hotel as were not vaccinated.

We were turned away by the hotel as were not vaccinated. The receptionists said we should have looked up Google to find out if we could stay in that region of Germany.. I do believe that booking.com should have informed us. We had been driving for many hours from the Netherlands, I am 80 years old so was exhausted. Also the hotel should have told us before arrival. We carried on to Switzerland as the only option where we found a decent hotel. I am shocked to see that have since been charged the full amount by this hotel.

Of course, Europa Park is the main draw to Rust, with amazing attractions, shows and food but there is a lot more in the town of rust, with lots of lovely restaurants and bars, as well as an abundance of options to stay to suit any budget. There is good transport around the town with the 'Rust-Bus' running around the town, but from the "Europa Park Hotel" end of the town, to the park entrance is a 20 minute walk, so nothing too strenuous.

My trip would be much better if I didn’t book in one of the most worst hotel in the world (Holiday Inn Express - Ringsheim, an IHG Hotel) because of a negative attitude and unprofessional receptionist working in this hotel with no morals. Unfortunately my luck was bad that night , my plan was to stay 4 nights and visit so many wonderful places but I left Ringsheim early because of their bad behaviors .

Very easy to find, just off A5 autobahn, with easy parking and a large Shell fuel station opposite that helped with late check-ins and that also had a good breakfast service. Necessary since budget hotels are always low-staffed.

As a special birthday treat, I arranged a short break for my husband & I to Rust. The main purpose was to visit Europa Park & Rulantica. We spent 2 days at the theme park, 1 evening in the water park. It was gorgeous. So well laid out, clean & accessible. The hotel we stayed at was almost equidistant between the 2 venues, with a couple of shops & restaurants close by. Excellent location, stunning hotel. All the staff were very friendly & polite. Fully intend to return soon

I came to Ringsheim to visit the Europa Park resort.

I came to Ringsheim to visit the Europa Park resort. It was a fun experience and I would recommend coming to visit when its not peak season. The bus service to Ringsheim station needs to be improved with more busses running a later service.
