The location of the hotel is excellent, everything is in walking distance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. The building itself does not have a parking spot, but there is a free P+R area just across the river, so guests can leave their car there overnight.

Absolutely stunning location nestled in a quaint village in the countryside. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern.     Very nice hotel and I couldn’t have had a better stay. I got a free room upgrade and the room was fantastic and all the staff I met were kind and welcoming, especially the young lady in the reception. She is one of those ”right person at the right place” kinda people. I have worked in hotels for 20 years and it’s always nice to come to a hotel like this and with staff like this. Will definitely stay again if I return to Würzburg. The location was really good with walking distance to all the sights and to the train station. Good breakfast too

    Breakfast was excellent as freshness,taste and variety. Better than the most 5 star hotels visited. Coffee selection -10. The only minus...the juice machine with premixed juices. All other products were superior quality, please improve the natural juice selection. Juice machine is typical for cheap hotels. But this was small issue. The breakfast was one of the best which i have( visited 100+ 5 star hotels)

    The hotel is very clean and nice, very short walk to the city center. Our room was big enough for a family with kids, with very comfy beds. The view from our hotel room was spectacular. We want to especially thank the girl that works at the reception, she was super nice and super friendly, she helped us tremendously with our issue with Europecar. I hope she reads this- thank you so much!

    A very interesting historical city, much of which has been...

    A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.

    Our experience at this accommodation was terrible from start...

    Our experience at this accommodation was terrible from start to finish. The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. They refused to speak English, even when we asked politely, and insisted on speaking only in German with a visibly hostile attitude. When we arrived, they tried to charge us more than the price listed online. We ended up booking the room through Booking.com, where the price was half of what they initially asked us for. Even though the listing said “free parking on site,” they charged us extra for it anyway. The room itself was a disaster — dirty, old, smelly, and clearly not maintained. When we tried to take a shower after a long day, we discovered there was no hot water. We went to reception to ask for help, and again, the receptionist refused to speak English. Eventually, he claimed the entire building had plumbing issues. However, minutes later, he said he could give us another room with hot water — clearly contradicting his earlier excuse. We waited for him to show us the new room, but he just left us standing there. When we asked again, he started shouting in German and refused to help us any further. In the end, we had no choice but to take cold showers and go to bed extremely disappointed. We tried to report the issue through Booking.com, but unfortunately received no response. This place was truly a nightmare, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.

    We visited Therme KissSalis Therme in Bad Kissingen.

    We visited Therme KissSalis Therme in Bad Kissingen. It was a perfect experience. We were there for several hours and we used almost all the facilities that are available. There is a restaurant there, where tasty food is served. I would warmly recommend to visit this Spa. We also walked shortly thought the town center. It looks well preserved. The houses seem cosy .

    Beautiful old town, well maintained houses, quiet streets. Close to the Main river. Many wine producers in town, but drive to Escherndorf to find the best (e.g. Rainer Sauer). A number of okay restaurants in town tovhchoose from.

    I was a little surprised that the owner knew very nothing about the Jewish Cultural Museum/Synagogue which was almost opposite the property. I think given Germany's past it would be better if he did show some interest and fed it back to his guests.

It's an easy drive off the autobahn and little difficulty finding facilities. The locals are welcoming. For me it was fantastic however, not a place for the party lover. I stayed at the Krone hotel. Facilities, food and staff were all excellent.

    Würzburg is a very interesting city and well worth a visit.

    Würzburg is a very interesting city and well worth a visit. The Residenz was nice and the views from the Fortress were spectacular. Sadly the Fortress was closed on Mondays. We stayed at the Maritime Hotel which was the perfect host. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. It is centrally situated, has parking facilities and we could walk to the city without any problems. The restaurant Alte Krane and the boat trip to Veitshöchheim was also very nice and interesting. The time spent wandering though the gardens of this very interesting quaint town was lovely. We only missed a guided walking tour of Würzburg, which was cancelled at the last minute. The information desk at the Tourist Info Office could have been more helpful. Their offer of guided tours needs to be increased. Only one offered early on a Sunday morning😒 Otherwise, Würzburg is fabulous. We met some very friendly people, especially Omi and a group of boys from Günzburg who were celebrating a bachelor party were very funny and entertaining☺️

    Aschaffenburg has a beautiful castle/garden historic area...

    Aschaffenburg has a beautiful castle/garden historic area adjacent to the river. Very scenic. And the Altstadt district has many street with no cars so very friendly to shop and eat. We loved this small city
