My recent stay at the Steigenberger Resort Alaya Marsa Alam was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable hospitality from the staff. Their genuine kindness and eagerness to ensure my comfort truly made my experience unforgettable. The resort itself is a paradise nestled along the pristine coastline, boasting luxurious amenities and breathtaking views. The attention to detail in every aspect of the property is evident, from the meticulously maintained grounds to the elegantly appointed rooms. It exudes an air of sophistication and tranquility that instantly put me at ease. One of the highlights of my stay was the abundance of crystal-clear pools scattered throughout the resort. Whether I was seeking a refreshing dip or simply lounging by the water's edge, each pool provided a serene oasis to unwind and soak up the sun. Moreover, the resort's proximity to the magnificent coral reefs and stunning beach only added to its allure. Exploring the vibrant marine life while snorkeling or simply strolling along the powdery white sands was an experience like no other. Above all, it was the exceptional service and genuine hospitality of the staff that truly set this resort apart. From the moment I arrived until the moment I reluctantly departed, they went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay exceeded expectations.

What an incredible experience!! I have been to Jaz Elite Asteria last week and we are amazed and positively surprised about the level of service while the hotel is still in the soft opening, so what does that mean for the future?! It started at the front with the contact with Hussam to coordinate in which room we would like to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately offered a cold towel and fresh juice so we felt welcome right away. After a short introduction we also got to know Mrs. Messaouda and that was a pleasure, because she was able to do a lot for us, including discussing the a la carte restaurants. Sometimes it is the little things that matter, so an ice cream by the pool or a cloth for cleaning, everything was possible! I can be brief about the food: both the buffet (morning, afternoon and evening) and the 5 a la carte restaurants are incredible in terms of possibilities, taste and variety!! We were so pleased with our wonderful week that I immediately spoke to Mrs. Messaouda about the possibilities of coming back with my family, so I would definitely recommend going to this hotel!!

The stay at Jaz Amara exceeded our expectations! Everything was perfect. The staff is amazing, friendly, professional, attentive, always with the smile and make you feel like home. We just returned from a week's holiday in this hotel (2 adults, 2 children). The All positive reviews of this hotel are absolutely correct, this is a great place to stay, we highly recommend. Few points to mention: 1. Friendliness of the staff. This has exceeded our expectations. Whatever issue we had, it was immediately resolved with no hassle. The personnel is extremely polite at all levels - from a porter to reception manager. We have never seen anyone with a grumpy or annoyed look during our stay. This is impressive as it shows that hospitality is not just a buzzword for the management but a key value. Our children were also surrounded by smiles and care. 2. Facilities. there is everything for a family stay, a great aquapark with around 15 slides, several swimming pools, 7 restaurants, a beach, a gym (surprisingly well-equipped). Everything is also conveniently located so you don't need to walk too long (important with the young kids). 3. Food. Fresh, varied, tasty - there is something to everyone's taste. We did not even have time to visit all a-la carte restaurants. The ones we visited served tasty food (ok, obviously it's not the same Italian as in Italy in the Italian restaurant but it's good enough). Do visit the Bedouin restaurant though, the food there completely blew us away, it was one of the best cooked grilled meat that I have ever eaten in my life. Service at all restaurants is quick and efficient 4. The beach. A lovely sandy beach, very clean and well-kept (you can literally eat that sand, there is no dirt or garbage there). Shallow entrance to the water which is ideal for young children. There are 2-3 small coral reefs at the beach but of course to do some serious snorkelling you need to go somewhere else (we did not so can't comment on that). There were always enough sunbeds on the beach, you don't need to do a mad rush before breakfast to reserve spots, we never had any issues regardless of when we arrived there.

Everything in this resort is amazing. My priority, in any resort/hotel, is a quiet place for a good sleep. This resort is so quiet and they preserve it in every detail. You dont hear stuff making noises, bothering guests with machines, no guests are talking loud outside of your room. No loud parties and no music during the day. You can relax and just chill anywhere without being hammered in the head. Amazing time I had. And to add, perfect cleaning, food is so tasteful and all stuff is super nice. Location is also something else. Away from all the city noise and all you can hear are the waves and birds!!

The Seagull hotel was a very nice place to stay. On I arrival, the Booking agent, Basem welcomed us and, during the whole vacation, was on our service whenever needed. Rooms were freshly renovated and the cleaning service, with cleaner Ahmed, who was charged for our Room, did everything for our stay to be more comfortable. Room service and service at the pools were quick and pleasent. Big yes from us.

Hurghada is an amazing destination that truly has something for everyone! The Red Sea is absolutely stunning — crystal-clear waters, colourful coral reefs, and incredible marine life make it a paradise for swimming, snorkelling, and diving. The city offers a great mix of relaxation and adventure, with plenty of excursions, water sports, and boat trips to nearby islands. The weather is perfect almost all year round, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Locals are friendly, helpful, and always make you feel at home. The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya...

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Port Ghalib is worth a visit, outside of the AI Hotels. Nice bars, good restaurants and friendly people. On Saturdays there is now a Cruiseship visiting Port Ghalib, hopefully the effects on the reef etc. will be not too negative.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing.

Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.

The sea was beautiful.

The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Very nice and friendly locals!

Very nice and friendly locals! Not many tourists, no aggressive salesmen. The city is not rich, so expect some garbage lying around. Prices are generally very low, not adjusted for tourists (except at nearby hotels). We found only a few restaurants, but many fastfood places.

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

Hurghada is a very busy place and popular with all nationalities. I was diving every day so 8 hours a day at sea. I didn't use the shopping centre this time but have done so in the past and it was great. It used to be that you would get harassed continually by traders but not so much these days they really have backed off. I know my daughters found that intimidating when they were younger but today its fine.
