We were with only 2 people, but got a 60m2 apartment with 2 bedrooms. To have all that space was very nice. The place is located in walking distance of the river, so it’s easy to go back and forth to the centre of Luxor. On the other side it’s easy to go from this apartment to all the historic temples and tombs at the West Bank. So perfect location! The breakfast was delicious, internet was good. The place also had a beautiful terrace with terrific views. But the absolute best was our host. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier he was always willing to help. He even changed money for us for a good rate, and when we wanted an early breakfast he was very happy to make it for us. He gave us good tips of the surroundings, and he helped us out by arranging good taxi’s. We will definitely be back. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean. There is lots of little details where you really see that someone thought about the design of the place. The people were incredibly nice and helpful and the roof restaurant has a good view and great food for a reasonable price. We also really loved staying on the west side, with its quiet where you hear only the birds when waking up. Great historical places like Valley of the Kings, Queens and Hatshepsut temple. Hot air balloon is a must-try with good price compare with other countries. The pilot is very experience and the hot air balloon is very stable. However, day time weather is comparatively hotter then Cairo and Aswan. I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids.
I thought Luxor temple was much better than the pyramids. The taxi driver at the airport Mohamed, was very friendly and came back to collect us on time. There was a man with a horse carriage that was relentless and a liar for about 10 minutes, non-stop from the hotel to the entrance of the temple. We were the only ones walking the full avenue from Luxor temple to Karnak but it was worth it because it was peaceful and the guards were friendly. We would have liked to stroll at night time on the promenade but as soon as you were stepping outside the hotel, you were targeted by scammers. The hotel had good facilities, good food and a good swimming pool but it would have been good to enjoy a bit more freedom like in any other tourist destination.Guest review byFRANCISCASpain - 8.0

Luxor sites are great must see for travelers who loves ancient Egyptian sites. Many beautiful experiences. But unless you've got the a full time tour/handler, be prepared for the endless stream of people looking to siphon some of your pocket and time. We're 'do it yourself' kind of travelers and did so without serious issue; It takes street smarts and awareness. People generally are kind and warm and Luxor has a lot to offer. A driver/guide is essential for the West Bank sites though, many things to navigate and difficult without someone versed in the area and processes.Guest review bythomasUnited States
