The hotel was located 10-15 minutes from the beach and the main attractions in the city. The rooms were clean and pretty spacious for a short trip. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The breakfast buffet has good options and we enjoyed the 24h tea and coffee options.

Very good location in the middle of the old town. Easy to reach by airport bus C-6. A totally renovated building with a nice rooftop bar with nice views to the Castell de Santa Barbara. Rooms were cleaned daily and the cleaning staff was friendly as were all other staff members too. Excellent morning breakfast. Strong recommodation.

Maria and the rest of the team from Castillo hotel are the most kind people I have ever met during my travel. They waited for us for later check in, explained us everything that is worth to see in Benidorm, she remembered out names :) Breakfast was amazing, location is great! They even gave us towels, sun umbrella and chairs for the beach. A bottle of water waited for us in the room, although we could use for 24 hours free water, coffee, tea, muffins etc. They stored our luggage after check out, which meant a lot to us. There was a fridge in the room and we could use microwave from the kitchen as well. Really a stay to remember and to repeat! Thank you Maria from Ana and Ljubica :)

    My favourite hotel. We come once a year to be spoiled by its beautiful situation and lovely staff. To sit on the balcony whilst the palm trees are swaying in the wind, gazing over the beautiful garden with the waves rumbling and tumbling on the nearby golden sand is as near perfection as you can get.

    You HAVE to have internet connectivity ALL THE TIME - Wifi...

    You HAVE to have internet connectivity ALL THE TIME - Wifi is not freely available. Alicante is not just a town. Its a city. Its big. Its busy. And you need to ensure you know your way around or have internet maps on hand. We tried to navigate from research and failed miserably. Luggage lockers are available all over - BUT - you need your own wifi to connect. On the door it will read: Free Wifi - but its not avaiable. If anyone travels from South Africa: there is no way you are prepared for the sise of Spanish towns - they are all cities to us in sise. (Sorry for the spelling error but my laptop refuse to type the last letter of the alphabet today). Alicante is beautiful, friendly, and has everything you can possibly want. Not all busdrivers are friendly and some really do not favour tourists, so blend in as best as possible. Learn the basic Spanish to get around and please do not be disrespectful in your approach to the Spanish language.

    Benidorm is the destination of choice for the loud and gregarious but it is often turned up to 11. There is a different side to Benidorm. Old Town is bustling but nothing like as noisy as the "Strip" end. Avoid apartments that are too near the Strip. Apartments on the promenade are much quieter at night when the party animals appear.

    Beautiful fishing town with great bars and restaurants. Second visit here and can't wait to come back. 2hr drive for us from Orihuela Costa but well more the trip. Find hostel Loretto and you'll be on one of the most beautiful streets in the town. Has history, great walks, great food and a must is a visit to the Magazines which is a small street with pop up eateries and bars. Very spanish and idyllic.

    Calpe is a wonderful Seaside Town with plentiful accessible beaches, great Restaurants an easy to use Local Bus service, an easy to use Tram Service for easy accessibility to other Seaside Resorts but most of all. The local people are just so friendly as are, in my experience, the Staff in the Hotels and Restos.

    We arrived in the middle of a storm, so we didn't see the best of Torrevieja. However the walk on the front was very pleasant and when the rain subsided, it felt safe with a great atmosphere with many people out for an evening walk.

    Pebble beach so you really have to hire a sunbed which costs 21 euros for two beds and a parasol. Cost mounts up if you are doing that every day. Old town up the hill was lovely. Lots of nice places to eat.

    We have been to El Campello before but further along. We were on edge of El Campello and Playa San Juan. The promenade is fabulous and it leads on to glorious beach with so many facilities. Tram runs from Alicante straight to El Campello or there is a bus 21, which runs along coast to EC. Lots of shops, restaurants. It's a working town and it's such a surprise to walk through small streets to the stunning beach.

    The town has some lovely parks and tree lined avenues. Central Elche was easy to get into, the town is built on a grid system. We stayed near Placa Glorieta, a very interesting area with plenty of shops and a variety of good restaurants. Well worth a visit. We ate at a fantastic Italian restaurant in the square We would certainly go back again.

    The apartment and it’s location were fantastic.

    The apartment and it’s location were fantastic. One small complaint was that the nearby restaurants all had similar menús, some exactly the same as one another However, the Cafés and Bars offered various alternatives. The Island of Tabarca is well worth a visit. We will certainly return.
