Martil has a beautiful beach with golden sand and it is a great option to spend summer vacation, safe, people are friendly, and there is so much to do nearby like vising Cabo negro, Tres Peidras, Jebha, Chefchaouen, Tangier and other great places in northern Morocco. There's a wide range of food variety from Mediterranean to Asian and it is very affordable.Guest review byAhmedUnited States - 4.0
The beach is very crowded and a hard/sharp pebble beach.
The beach is very crowded and a hard/sharp pebble beach. You have to pay for a chair, a table and parasol but it may as well have been sharing with another visitor as they were so close together. The water was dirty but calm and minimal waves. It was quite dangerous actually as visitors were getting off and on pedalos and sea toys in the same area as children were swimming, an accident waiting to happenGuest review byStephanieUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely location with sea views and small sandy beaches.
Lovely location with sea views and small sandy beaches. Nice clean rooms, beautiful garden, lovely staff. Good breakfast. Distance from Tetuan and lack of knowledge of public transport just made the trip a little bit tough. There is a taxi rank about 20mns walk along the beach front.Guest review byShoaibUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Ceuta: A Unique Spanish City in Africa
Ceuta: A Unique Spanish City in Africa Ceuta is a fascinating Spanish enclave located on the northern coast of Africa. Although it borders Morocco, stepping across the border immediately places you in Spain. The city offers a distinctly Spanish atmosphere, complete with tapas bars, excellent restaurants, and quiet, uncrowded beaches. In the city center, you’ll also find a variety of modern shops that benefit from tax advantages, making prices lower than in mainland Spain — a bonus for shoppers. A highlight of the year is the Fiestas Patronales, held from late June to early August. This lively festival features a large feria (fair) and numerous cultural and religious events honoring the Virgen de África, Ceuta’s patron saint — a celebration well worth experiencing. Getting There Reaching Ceuta can be a bit of an adventure. You can either take a ferry from mainland Spain or cross the land border from Morocco. Be aware that in summer, the Moroccan border can become extremely busy. Additionally, Moroccan rental cars are usually not insured for Ceuta, so driving across may not be an option. If you're crossing from Morocco, the fastest and simplest way is on foot. Once across, taxis are readily available on both sides of the border, and for under €10, you can be in Ceuta’s city center in minutes.Guest review byJBNLNetherlands - 10.0

As noted before, I have lived and worked in Morocco for more than 10 year total over a span of 20 years. Martil is a treasure of a place to relax when one is working. One can walk everywhere in Martil, there are great little markets with fruits, fresh bread, everything, also small cafes and high-end restaurants, Martil is known for fresh fish -- a wonderful small town on a beautiful beach on the warm Mediterrean.Guest review byEllenUnited States - 8.0

Fantastic historical fort, small, free museums, though without much content. Renowned city gate closed without any information provided. Cathedral seemed permanently closed, again without any explanation. Town hall should have been accessible but no information about a visit provided on-line or at the site. Beautifully kept town with lovely flower arrangements and great cleanliness. Lots of shops.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful, laid-back coastal city set in a picturesque geographic setting. One of the cleanest, best beaches I've visited in Morocco, and very good, economic food options on the beachfront, in town, and in Diza. Locals-only, especially outside of the tourist season (summer), which is always a benefit.Guest review byKalju
