It was founded in 1909 and has retained its identity, imbued with the entire history of France, from royalty to the present day. The room is typically French small, but has all the facilities for a stay including a very comfortable bed. We ordered breakfast in the room and they brought us very fresh and delicious pastries, starting with fresh baguettes in various types, croissants, and other famous French buns. Even if we had no desire to eat, it was impossible not to be tempted. :)) We had dinner at the restaurant and also celebrated my birthday. The cuisine exceeded my expectations, with very refined and beautifully presented dishes. And most importantly - it was delicious! Thank you very much to the chef! Used the sauna as well, it was mostly very quiet and we were able to relax. In front of the hotel is Grand beach, a lovely bay, and a shore for swimming and relaxing.Guest review bySevdaAzerbaijan

Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a very pleasant little town on the South-west coast of France. Its beach is nicely sheltered from the wild Bay of Biscay, making it safe and attractive. We stayed in a central hotel with easy access to some lovely bars and restaurants serving delicious local cuisine. It's an easy drive into the countryside; we climbed a mountain called Larrun, part of the Pyrenees, then easily back to St Jean de Luz for a swim and out for dinner! Zarautz is an impossibly quaint, clean, and beautiful town with one of the best surfing beaches in Spain, and possibly Europe. It is a town that is so picturesque it could be in its own movie. The shops are beautiful and tasteful. The restaurants serve some of the best food I've ever tasted. And the beach is huge and absolutely stunning. Great location, short trip to Ferry, Very good wifi in room, Max Centre very close for fast food, secure parking for my motorcycle from 11pm to 8am, I still recommend to use locks on your motorcycle like every other hotel. Lovely, long beach. Quieter than St Jean de Luz, but still with a good choice of small restaurants, often specialising in fish/seafood. Good public transport links, not expensive, to be able to visit other nearby villages and towns of the Basque Country Lovely walk up over the headland, or instead -a little stroll along the promenade. Visited Hondaribbia in Spain by a very short boat trip that leaves from Hendaye port. Beautiful little village-nice pintxos in the restaurants ! And good view from up by the castle.
