The room was spacious, nicely designed and super clean. Also they provided a bed, some snacks and a bowl for our dog, which was a little touch but very much appreciated! The little terrace was also nice to wake up too. I would totally stay again and recommend it to my friends and family 10/10

Everything though the prize goes for the location! It is just right at the start of the Besalu bridge. We had a fantastic view. The place was so cosy and Christmassy! The staff were very helpful and accommodating. If you are staying in besalu (which you should stay one night at least) this is the place to book.

Fantastic stay in fantastically beautiful surroundings. A true oasis of calm with the most friendly people, delicious and honest food and, above all, a dream location with ridiculously beautiful accommodation. We will definitely be back and even though we only stayed here for 1 night we went back home completely relaxed!

A lovely self-built wooden building, with some excellent self-built furniture. A shower so good I had to turn down the pressure; really comfortable large double bed. Lovely views outside the windows of the spacious and comfortable guests' common room. Great location for visiting Besalu, which is lovely, and the Garrotxa, an area of beautiful woods and dormant volcanic peaks. The restaurant literally over the road provided excellent food in a very friendly environment. Finally our hostess was very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Photos: The Bridge and Town at Besalu, The lake at Banyoles with early snow on the mountains, the 'common room' at La Fustana, and the morning view from there.

We went there for the first time and it was truly amazing! They were very nice to, in the last moment, change our reservation to Bungalow Deluxe as we had some changes who was going to come. It was beautiful bungalow of two floors. Upper was a double bed. Lower was bathroom with shower, armchair, table with coffee machine and double bed. All exactly as on the photos. We had patio with table and chairs. Nice swimming pool. All clean. Tasty breakfast. All people who were working there were very friendly and you could feel like being with a big happy family. So, thank you all for that great time! We stayed long at the swimming pool, so we didn't have time to see the birds garden. For my niece it was the first time in a camping and she wanted to stay there longer! So we have to come back 😃 See you soon!

The view from our lovely room was a beautiful mountains and a view of the relaxing garden, terrace and very nice swimming pool. It was good to see staff regularly cleaning the pool. The hotel was immaculate with very helpful and friendly staff. The breakfast was plenty of choice and served in a light and airy area.

The house and it's surroundings are beautiful. The staff are excellent very friendly and so helpful. The food was lovely for both breakfast and dinner. A lovely atmosphere great for parents with young goods but wonderful for us too. We hope to come back

Besalú is an absolutely stunning medieval town — full of charm, history, and picture-perfect views around every corner. The most magical part is the evening atmosphere, once the day visitors have left. It’s the perfect place for a quiet evening stroll, a relaxed drink in the square. Truly one of the most scenic and atmospheric towns we’ve visited.

Cute little town with a river running through it, a couple...

Cute little town with a river running through it, a couple of nice bars and restaurants and quaint houses. We recommend L´estacio bar for breakfast and dinner options - you can park right next to it in free parking then walk into the town centre and explore by foot. We walked from Sant Feliu de Pallarols to Les Planes d´Hostoles along the greenway (a super easy almost flat pathway, that took about 1.5 hours with stops) and had an amazing lunch at Fonda Arnau - Can Remena (definitely need to book ahead of time).

It's a wonderful little place and I'm sure there's more to explore than we saw. Just one tip: the churches seem to be accessible by appointment only (one can only peek in through glass at the entrance), which is a pity because there are some wonderful, very old ones. If I were to go next time, I'd arrange with the tourist office to visit them. The Tourist Office were wonderful about helping us see the mikveh and I'm sure they'd be just as great about l letting us visit the churches, but we should have arranged it in advance.

Lovely hotel but lacking in ambience as we were the only guests at dinner and breakfast… not the hotel’s fault but not what I was expecting. Room was lovely but I had to upgrade in order to have dogs with us. Food very good and well presented. No bar so couldn’t get pre dinner drink. No shampoo in bathroom… a basic necessity! Good road through the woods to reach the hotel. Staff, only met owner and lady in dining room who was lovely. I imagine it’s beautiful in the Autumn….

Picturesque Besalú works as a short visit, there is lots to see but it can be done pretty quickly. The medieval centre and bridge are a great explore but it's also set in great scenery and the views as far as the pyrenees add grandeur. There are routes to follow or just chill in one of the cafés dotted around the plazas.

Fantastic food, locally sourced, beautifully cooked by Roy and graciously served by Goretti. A wonderful place to stay and spend a few days hiking or cycling knowing that there was a comfy room and a delicious meal to return to. A real treat!
