- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 701 reviewsThe place has style - Elegant, solid, and calming. Food? Always available. Convenient. Not haute cuisine, but if you're not expecting Michelin stars to descend on a remote volcanic island, you’ll be just fine. I went solo on a windsurfing trip, and the hotel ticked all my boxes: comfy, clean, calm, and with enough decent food to keep me upright on a board for hours. Now, to those legendary one-star reviews floating around out there... let’s address a few of the greatest hits: "It's remote and there's nothing to do." Well, yes. It's called Fuerteventura, not Ibiza-on-Steroids. The whole charm of the island is its beautiful remoteness. It’s like Sahara, but with showers, WiFi, and a very decent roads. The hotel knows it’s not in the middle of a bustling metropolis and does its best: activities, live music, a decent disco, and electric scooters to zip around Costa Calma like you're in a PG-rated action movie. Want more? Rent a car, discover moon-like landscapes, and embrace the fact that “nothing to do” is actually code for “peace and quiet.” "The food is bland / not enough salt / not to my taste." Right. So it's not a 5-star restaurant in Madrid or Rome –I found the meals quite decent, balanced, and flavourful enough that I didn’t have to drown them in mystery sauces. And if your palate is that “refined”, maybe use a salt shaker? "Staff are rude / not nice" That was not what I experienced. Treat people with respect and you get same back. Not a single negative experience in my 7 days! Perhaps not everyone shares my holiday-fuelled enthusiasm, but for the basic pay the staff at the hotel did a fantastic job and my causal "buenas" and "gracias" always went a long way. "Too expensive for what it is." Are we... on the same continent? For €120 a day (sea-view room in June), two people get a 3-course meal, amazing settings and the entertanement... wake up!Guest review byLanaIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 387 reviewsIt was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! From the moment I entered the hotel, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the exceptional receptionist, Fabio, who truly made my stay remarkable. His attentiveness and dedication to providing exceptional customer service were evident throughout my stay by also providing personalised recommendations, helping me make the most of my visit. I must also say all other staff members (except of one whom name I don‘t want to put on the internet) took time to engage friendly conversations, creating welcoming atmoshpere that made me feel like a valued guest. Definitely important to mention, everyone‘s positive energy was contagious, which I needed after a stressful period at work. You all are true superstars - thank you so much for creating an extraordinary stay! I will be back again!!Guest review bySilaAustria
- From US$297.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,067 reviewsThis was one od the best hotel where we ever have stayed. Our first stay at Fuerteventura and everything was perfect. We chose this hotel because of their offer of sport activity, especially road cycling which it was included. I have also tried indoor cycling and zumba and it was so fun. We have a large double room with a side sea view. The bathroom was also large with a space for cosmetics bags. Full minibar during arrival. Water automat in every block. The variety od food was amazing. Everything was delicious, everybody could choose what he likes. I think that this hotel is so amazing because of the hard working staff! We really liked naturist area with sauna! We enjoyed Silence Party! I recommend this hotel to everybody - families and couples. Beach was beautiful and clean.Guest review byAnetaCzech Republic

This is an amazing place, but unfortunately, every year there are more and more tourists and more and more hotels here. The beaches are endless, the ocean is crystal clear. But there's almost always a wind and the temperature fluctuates. A large promenade with shops, good shopping at reasonable prices.Guest review byOmacatl72Czech Republic - 10.0

Costa Calma is a very calming resort, with lovely views and a good variety of restaurants! Certain restaurants you do need to book, but it will be well worth it. The supermarket’s are very well stocked and the doughnuts are very popular. There is an African market twice a week with a variety of goods set in a tranquil setting amongst beautiful trees. Costa Calma is definitely a place to visit if you are in need of a relaxing break in a stress free place.Guest review bykarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This beach is absolutely stunning—wide, long, and covered in soft, golden sand. It’s ideal for long walks, jogging, or even a refreshing run along the shore. The sand is firm enough in some areas to make running comfortable, while the open space allows for uninterrupted movement. The crystal-clear water and the clean, well-maintained environment make it a pleasure to spend time here. It’s never overcrowded, so you can fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The fact that it has been awarded the Blue Flag for 2024/25 speaks to its quality and cleanliness. Whether you want to relax, take in the views, or stay active, this beach offers the perfect setting. Highly recommended!Guest review byIvkaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Morro Jable is the old/quieter part of Jandia with lovely little streets and authentic restaurants. Very little shopping or bars so not best if that's what you're looking for. Jandia, just up the road may be better for you. And if you're looking for English breakfast, steaks and roast dinners I'd say you're at the wrong end of the island. If you want authentic food and culture this is for you.Guest review byWalleee66United Kingdom - 8.0

Nice city with some outstanding must-to-eat places (e.g. Restaurante Al Fresco, Restaurante Arena or El Bar de Marco). 4 days is enough to enjoy the city + visit the Oasis Park (whole day trip) when travelling with kids. Last one - once there, visit - Café de Fuerteventura - the best coffee in Costa Calma!Guest review byMichalPoland - 4.0

Pleasant staff, but poor facilities and cuisine. The proximity of the property to the beach was great. The size of the resort was also good but overall the lack of investment in the resort led to a poor experience.Guest review bySegunUnited Kingdom - 10.0

During a vacation in Fuerteventura, the Jandia Peninsula and Morro Jable are worth a visit. The beaches are golden and the water turquoise. There are beautiful excursions available, both by sea (catamaran, dolphins) and by land (Cofete). Unfortunately, the strong winds and the downburst from the hills made spending time on the beach unpleasant, especially in the afternoon.Guest review byAngeloItaly - 8.0
Interesting apparently it’s been refurbished in 2023!
Interesting apparently it’s been refurbished in 2023! If my house had been refurbished with that quality of care I Would have refused to pay the builders! White paint on walls all patchy, still see concrete from when the hotel was build originally 2003. Slap dash wooden flooring, doors to balcony don’t close or lock, slippery tiles round the pool which are coming away. Please be CAREFUL when getting out the pool and walking to the sun beds as you will slip over, doesn’t look like they’ve used C3 tiles (NONSLIP) breakfast and lunch are fine if your not celiac (can’t eat gluten in wheat products) evening meal disappointing. Drinks are actually okay. plastic glasses by pool which is a must, not enough water places and glasses to use for the water were thimble sized (how can you have 2 litres a day with thimbles!) sorry for the rant and if your still reading actually the hotels quite nice, the staff are amazing, a few tweaks for the hotel and it would be a lovely place to stay it’s a small hotel adults only which I loved about it.Guest review byMirandaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We liked being outside the main tourist development but within easy reach - a few minutes by car. From Esquinzo we could walk for miles along the beach at low tide, with just a few detours if the tide came in.Guest review byAnthonyUnited Kingdom
