This is a historic hotel, in a beautiful natural setting. The rooms are simple but nostalgic, and they are comfortable enough for a couple of days you'll be spending in the mountains. Breakfast is plentiful, for every taste. The staff is simply exceptional and very hospitable. You feel welcome. It is worth it just for the experience, I would absolutely recommend it.

Les Roquetes is located in Queralbs, in the Ripollès area of the Catalan Pyrenees. It is 200 metres from the Núria mountain railway and offers rooms with a private balcony.

This is a jewell of a place! Don’t get me wrong, it’s not luxurious, the room and bathroom was a bit dated, as is the whole place, we don’t mind that and everything is spotlessly clean and functional. The location is perfect: on the main street but set back from the road with room for a carpark and the restaurant/bar terrace. There is very much a ski chalet feel about the front of the hotel. The large Plane trees on the roadside keep the whole place nice and cool in the summer without it feeling dark and I couldn’t ask for a better terrace to sit out drinking on a hot afternoon. Reception was super friendly and familial. The older man was very helpful with my rubbish Spanish and the younger guy was eager to practice his very passable English, all done with smiles and laughter. I wish I could tell you their names. A vast difference from our later experience in the hotel along the road!! We had a very chilled hour on the terrace with a cold beer before a cool siesta followed by a delicious dinner in the restaurant. We stayed here on our way to Barcelona from our home in France. Sadly it was fully booked for our return trip.
