    The resort is situated directly on the seaside allowing guests to sit by the beautiful pool and also enjoy looking at the see. Most of the rooms have direct views of the sea and it is very nice to listen to the waves directly from your window/balcony. The rooms are also very comfortable and well equiped. There is a variety of small shops and restaurants very close by in Moriani beach.

    The beaches to the south are long, quiet and have stunning water to swim in. The town has plenty of restaurants to choose from and the food is amazing. Be sure to polish up your French before travelling as it is really appreciated. A car is essential if you wish to explore.

    Ghisonaccia has really beautiful white, long and clean sandy beaches and very nice pinewood forests that invite for long walks. I was surprised to find in mid September only a few people at the beach :-) There is also a big Leclerc supermarket and a Spar supermarché in the town center. Unfortunately there is from morning to evening a constant flow of cars from Bastia towards the south through Ghisonaccia. So it's unfortunately not really nice in the center. There is also no possibility of renting a bycicle - but to be honest, you wouldn't want to drive on the main road either.

    The host Olivier was rude, taken our bond €300 & not...

    The host Olivier was rude, taken our bond €300 & not refunding saying we used all his internet, accused us of using prohibited sites when we didn’t & couldn’t provide the sites we supposedly had been on. We only used his internet for one day as he didn’t provide the wifi details we found them 3 days after arriving. place was dirty as feet were dirty from walking on the floor, charging us for extra sheets yet we couldn’t use the ones that were left out for us as the were wet, sealed in a plastic bag & stank, the smell was putrid. Charging us for extra towels yet we only used the ones that were provided. Ice cube trays in freezer were covered in mould, bottom glass shelf in fridge had mould along the sides. Called us liars when we complained. Would not recommend this place

    The village is up in the mountains.

    The village is up in the mountains. It is composed mostly of very old buildings and has a large panoramic view from the central square. Please note that the apartment complex Sole e Mare in not in the village Santa-Maria-Poggio itself but in an area called Vanga di l'Oru which is facing the beach.
