A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location.
A very pretty and historic village in a stunning location. Although we visited out of season it was still quite busy and we imagine that in high season it might be very overcrowded and not very pleasant. We struggled to find a good choice of restaurant for our one evening meal there as it seemed there were several restaurants at 'Ground level' but with rather expensive menus for average food as you would expect in a tourist town. We eventually chose a Creperie which had good and generous portions at a fair price. However the location was not easy for us as retirees as it was at the top of the village and required a difficult climb and descent on either cobblestone or quite slippery steps. Fine for young people but not so good for the elderly. We can recommend an outing to La Malene - the next village for a trip on the Battalieres of the Tarn who provided a wonderful small boat trip down the river which was unforgetable.Guest review byRobertFrance
