A nice little town with a small grassed area on front of cafes and bars giving it a spacious feel. Many restaurants to choose from as well as local amenity shops. Cinema in the centre. Parking along the roadside free in many places. Pleasant to walk around the many small winding streets. Train station in town too. Town has interesting features. Cathedral worth a visit, beautiful stained glass. We travelled to Niort for the Jazz festival.
We travelled to Niort for the Jazz festival. We had a super evening with great music in the warm summer weather. Before that we had dinner at Le comptoir du Siam, a great Thai restaurant in the centre of Niort. Niort has lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. There is a large CGR cinema which often has VO films (Version Originale), vital for English speakers whose French isn't fluent.
