The location of this hotel is superb, it is a 1 minute walk from restaurants, bars, bowling alley and the shuttle bus for the village. The hotel shuttle bus is so convenient and a fantastic service in the morning. The breakfast is also superb and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The ski slopes in the area are magical, we couldn’t recommend this area and hotel more.

We went with a group of mates skiing for the weekend. The hotel is in a lovely spot and has a great atmosphere. The breakfast was great but the evening meal we had was among the best I’ve ever had. The rooms were basic but ideal for us and great value. Can’t recommend it highly enough!!

    Hôtel very well situated (not far by car from Chamonix and Mégève) and well placed beside 2 pistes of ski where the bus (free access not payed) passes in front of the hotel to pick up passengers. Hotel placed in the city center in a high point that if you took a room with mountains view you will benefit from a very nice on the mountains and all Christmas activities in the city center (Christmas tree and Noël supermarket). Room of children was separated from parents’ room which was good too for some privacy. Hotel very proper and clean.

    We had such a lovely stay here. The ski season hadn't begun yet but we still got to experience a heavy snow fall on the last day. The pool was fantastic, room was nice a quiet and the facilities inside the hotel room were great. The heating works really well. Convenient having a grocery store just in front of the hotel. I recommend hiring a car so you can explore the mountains.

    charming hotel clearly worth 4 stars the spa is great, the outside jacuzzis are a must, the breakfast is good and the rooms are beautiful. you also have a great restaurant next door and a ski rental so that’s perfect location with a parking as well.

    La Clusaz is ok but not great.

    La Clusaz is ok but not great. It's low so snow is unreliable. It is relatively cheap for lift passes. There are no taxis available any more so getting round town in really hard! It's a very tame resort. Very hard to get into a restaurant on a weekend evening.

    Le Grand Bornand is one of my favourite places on earth, in any season. It has retained an alpine charm, is warm and welcoming and has plenty to keep you healthily occupied. The ski slopes are fabulous even though it’s a smaller resort, the prices are very reasonable

    Thônes is a beatiful quite village with lots of restaurants...

    Thônes is a beatiful quite village with lots of restaurants and caffees (but if you not French, remember of the hours of eating are lunch 12 to 2 and dinner book and arrive at 8pm). Getting around Thône is easy, there several things for kids to do, Mini Golf, tennis, Ziplining and horse riding. Annecy is just a short and beatuful drive with amazing views and a large lack you can swim in and lots of shopping and icecreams.

    Any one visiting Manigod beware.

    Any one visiting Manigod beware. The Village of Manigod is 10mins drive from Manigod Croix-Fry and 15mins from Manigod L'Etale. The Village is a sleepy residential place and often below the snow line. It is also not on the free ski bus route. Our accommodation in Manigod L'Etale was perfectly placed for a family ski break. It looks like it would be great for a walking holiday in the summer.... so maybe we will try that!

    The slopes are not great, they were not pisted / maintained well very bumpy,choppy slopes, with steep icy ends. Busy with lots of people going too fast for their skill level. Hard to find any where to eat restaurants booked weeks in advance. Ski lockers only available from 3pm and have to be given back by noon on departure day Not a. Very practical resort, wouldn’t go back

    Great ski resort, nice runs for snowboarding and not too busy. The best thing about Grand Bournand was the friendliness of the local people. Everyone we met was so good-humoured, really enjoyed that.

    Easy parking. Good choice of restaurants and bars. Good history to read up about. The hotel de commerce has a very good menu and is excellent value for money. I would reccomend booking. All the restaurants we ate in were good.

    La Clusaz is a traditional ski resort with plenty of...

    La Clusaz is a traditional ski resort with plenty of accommodation and places to eat (although it was often necessary to book ahead in the evening) The town is at a low level and so the runs back to the resort were patchy at this time of year. There was artificial snow in much of the resort up to around 1800m.

    it is a lovely village with a lot of character and genuine cultural identity where you can find all you need. People are very welcoming, restaurants are excellent and you can find several shops proposing delicious local products and the boulangeries are really gorgeous. It's an easy ideal place for skiing, with great slops for every level of skier and very well organized infrastructures. The local tourist office is very helpful and efficient and the ski instructors are really nice and competent.
