The apartment is very accommodating.
The apartment is very accommodating. We spent a lot of time there as there was a heat wave and with four people it was just right. It has a good kitchen and two bathrooms so nobody got in each others way. Very close to the centre of Bourg and close to restaurants in the area. We will have no trouble booking again if we are in that area. As there was only four people in our group it was great but it says it is for eight people and that would be a squeeze as there are bunk beds in some rooms. Otherwise thank you for making it a nice place to stay and my transporter fitted in the underground car park with no trouble. definitely recommend as all the people in my group would.Guest review bymark, devonUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Brides is a lovely little centre for those who want an attractive location to take leisurely walks in the park and sit and watch the world go by from a shady cafe. We felt as if were part of a real community, going to the boulangerie for cakes in late afternoon and chatting to visitors at the cafes. If we had known how to play belote (a French card game) we would have been welcomed into games taking place in the park. The visitors are mainly aged 50+, many of whom are visiting the town for its thermal cure and well being activities. Getting to the mountains without a car was a challenge as the buses are infrequent and only early in the day. The telecabin to Meribel only runs on Sundays. The effort to get to the mountain villages was well worth the effort. If you want to visit the Three Valleys and have a sense of French life and culture, Brides is the perfect location.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Loved this resort!
Loved this resort! Great variety of ski runs for all grades of skiers . Lifts of high quality lifts & many options for getting down the mountain if you re just out of steam & don’t want to ski home. A high energy resort with live music in the bars apres ski.Guest review byMarellaIreland - 10.0

Such a great little village to stay in above Bourg Sainte Maurice. You can access a local boulangarie to buy the most incredible breads, pastries and selection of savoury snacks. Excellent location to Sainte Foy as well as Les Arcs, Tignes and Val D'IsereGuest review byKimberlyAustralia - 10.0
It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason.
It’s one of the premiere ski resorts for a reason. Huge ski area, that never disappoints. We have skied Val for over 16yrs, and always find ourselves coming back. A few of the livelier places in town have disappeared over the last few years so it’s not quite the Apres ski town it used to be. But as we are getting older we don’t miss them as our days of being out all night are behind us. So the fact there are lots of nice restaurants for the evening is right up out street nowadays as opposed to loud bars and nightclubs.Guest review byGarethUnited Kingdom - 2.0

i would not stay in this hotel as they are fake and not helpful. they keep on saying we are sorry and than they dont do anything about it. and becareful when you use their concierge service, they charge you %5 for every charge and the ski instructors they find charge you whatever they feel like even though you stay with them for 3 hours, dont invite them to lunch as we did, he charged us for his time and the hotel didnt do anything about it.Guest review byDenizTurkey - 10.0
I went to Termignon on recommendation of a hiking guidebook.
I went to Termignon on recommendation of a hiking guidebook. It's a very good base for exploring the Maurienne valley as it's roughly situated at the midpoint. Lanslebourg (up the valley), and Aussois & Modane (down the valley) have more amenities than Termignon, but it has the essentials. Moreover, it's easy to get to the others by bus or car. There are numerous trails to hike or mountain bike. There are also several via ferratas in the valley, from easy (F) to extremely difficult (ED), many concentrated at Fort Victor Emmanuel. Besides the valley itself, there's also the Vanoise National Park and Lac Mont Cenis that are well worth exploring. If you're up for a challenge there's the Tour of the Vanoise Glaciers - the mountain huts (refuges) are excellent but you need to book in advance as they are very popular.Guest review byJonathanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Great for cheaper and more spacious accommodation and ten minute trip up the hill in the regular funicular to get to Arc 1600. Saves a 50 minute car drive, especially if snowy or time is key. Though usually no snow itself in Bourg. Pretty old town and a functional new town on parallel street. Big supermarkets for stocking up.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Brides is a lovely small town ideal for those who want to enjoy the ski area of the Three Valleys but who want a more relaxed, low key environment for the evenings. There is a lovely park alongside the river to enjoy an evening stroll. There are a few bars and restaurants but you don't come here for night time entertainment.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom
