- From US$132.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,133 reviewsJust loved everything about it. The staff and locals made us feel like family! Their local knowledge of the area was so helpful too. We saw places that we probably would have missed without their advice. Only wished that we could have stayed longer! The rooms, dining area etc were beautifully decorated. Everything was spot on. We are definitely planning to go back again if we can! Lynne and Mal - Victoria AustraliaGuest review byMalAustralia

A poor and unattractive place.
A poor and unattractive place. Most shops were empty and nothing was looked after, except a superb flower garden around a statue in a little square near the hotel. It was difficult to find somewhere nice to eat. Quite depressing environment.Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Everything surpassed expectations.
Everything surpassed expectations. I had the most peaceful night that I can remember, the facilities were spot on, the views were spectacular and one immediately felt a peacefulness that I can only describe as sublime. The caravan itself was immaculate and I particularly liked the decking which had double doors opening out on to it. The provisions left were outstanding, the layout and size of the rooms made it easy for us of advanced age to navigate , the beds comfortable and the washing and showering facilities very clean and easy to use.Guest review byEdgar - 10.0

A really lovely hotel.
A really lovely hotel. Food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing (apart from Tart Tatin very soggy pastry). Staff professional, helpful and friendly. Disappointed couldn’t have a cocktail at bar. However, a fab place to stay.Guest review byCatrinaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The proprietors Euan & Emma were excellent company and very attentive to guests' needs. The hotel had an excellent menu with accompanying wines, beers, spirits, if required. The hotel also had an extensive range of locally-produced spirits. The accommodation was excellent and well-equipped. The only down-side was the lack of TV reception - although being without TV was somewhat of a blessing!Guest review byBrianUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Dunbeath is an excellent stop on way to Scrabster to catch the ferry to Orkney. A quiet but working harbour with a lighthouse which we walked down to and we also walked up the river which was delightful.Guest review byAnna DUnited Kingdom - 10.0
