We love Northgate House, it is so peaceful and it really recharges the old batteries. The rooms are beautiful in a simple way and offers everything you could want or need, the staff in the hotel are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on site which is very good and offers a good choice of menu including vegetarian options, the food is of high quality and presented very well, breakfast is also available and is very tasty.In short for us it is a hotel that offers everything and we love it so much we will be visiting twice next year and we are looking forward to it.

The George was perfect in every way. The staff were very attentive, the room was immaculate and the whole hotel is beautiful. I loved the Christmas decorations as they were very tasteful. I loved that they lit a fire in the evening. I thank the staff for their attentive, professional, humble way of looking after me. I will definitely be coming back.

Superb, traditional hotel with excellent service. All the staff were polite & helpful - especially the assistant manager. Our room (number 11) was very clean - so too was the ensuite bathroom - albeit a bit small but that didnt bother us as we didnt spend much time in there! It was a real treat to have breakfast served to us - rather than the usual hotel buffet - so our food was cooked fresh to order & hot when served to our table- oh & there's an excellent choice of dishes for breakfast too. We didnt take dinner at the hotel but the menu looked excellent with lots of choice - inc a vegetarian option every night too. If you're looking for a hotel with traditional values & excellent service you'll not be disappointed.

I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at the Mariners Hotel in Seaton. The location is unbeatable – directly on the seafront with stunning views over Lyme Bay. It’s perfect for coastal walks or simply relaxing and watching the waves. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, the high-quality beds, and the daily housekeeping. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and thoughtful touches like a welcome tray with tea and coffee made a difference. Breakfast exceeded expectations – freshly cooked, with a good variety, and all dietary needs were accommodated without any fuss. The evening bistro meals were of excellent quality, although it’s worth noting that dinner isn’t served every night – so plan ahead. The hosts, Lisa and Dean, were genuinely friendly and attentive. No artificial hospitality – just honest, down-to-earth care for their guests. All in all, this is a quiet, well-maintained place with a personal touch and great attention to detail. Wonderful location. Right next to Croyde beach. Really enjoyed the facilities, there were plenty of games to choose from. Everything we needed was there. It's an ideal spot for families and we were a collection of families and were able to mix very comfortably. I liked that you could easily hire surf gear also, and that the lovely village is walking distance.

Bring a good pair of comfy shoes. Talcum powder to get the sand off your feet easier. Lots of good eating places. We tried the grove a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent Lots of interesting places to visit locally.

Out of season the Park and Ride doesn't operate and the only long stay carpark allows only four hours. This makes it difficult to do many of the trips available without very careful planning. For example, the round trip by river boat, bus, train and ferry was, for us impracticable

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.

Full of independant shops and so great to see the town so busy! We also went to the Saturday market which was easy to find whilst wandering up the high street of interesting shops! The market was great, street food and independent traders, great vibes!

A beautiful place away from the City hustle. The Caravan stay for awesome and my parents and my family loved it. The caravan booked was for 7 people including 2 kids, which had 3 bedroom and 1 toilet and one toilet and bathroom attached. We booked for 3 nights, and on the second day we decided to check if we could extend the stay for another 3 nights, but it was a shame that caravan was booked and we could not extend our stay. Our car was parked in front of the Caravan we stayed. The nearby food joints was about ~10 to 15 mins walk from the location "Seafield Holiday Park". "Affinity Devon Outlet Shopping" was about 10 mins drive from the location we stayed. I would surely recommend to visit/stay in this place.

I didn't visit Tiverton itself.

I didn't visit Tiverton itself. I was there to study so spent most of my time in my room working and would have appreciated a better outlook, but the restaurant gave attractive views of the river and the old bridge over the Exe.
