The ambience..warm, inviting. Comfortable bed. Bathroom facilities for those with mobility issues. (I asked for a walk-in shower) Good choices on the breakfast menu. Security of the rooms. Oh, and the cute tiny bottles of milk on the room tea making tray. 😁

Great breakfest and very nice room. Little bit out of town, but still OK. Very good ratio between price and quality. Personnel is very nice. I didn't have time to use swiming pool and fitness.

The hotel is a historic building dating back to the 15thC and was once the home of Oliver Cromwell's grandfather and later the HQ of Charles I. So it is a place full of history, charm and character. We loved it. Of course some things are dated and the upkeep must be an ongoing task - so if you want all modern fittings, shiny plastic and standard off-the shelf hotel accessories - look elsewhere! The staff are absolutely the tops; the room was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean; parking is free and adjacent; the breakfast was generous and excellent. It's a minute or two from the town centre on foot, and 10 minutes to the rail station. We ate in the restaurant one evening: the meal was good quality 'pub food' at a reasonable price. We'll be back.

It was something different to anywhere we’ve stayed before, they had everything we needed, as it turnt out we’d bought our own cleaning products and tea coffee and sugar but it was all there so we wouldn’t have needed to! The bottle of Prosecco on arrival was a really lovely touch! Our nephew loved the ps3 and it was great there were board games! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Huntingdon has a lovely little Saturday market with vegan options, there are plenty of shops to walk around and all the usual outlets eg B&Q, Dunhelm, Pets at Home -very useful for us a few mins by car. There is a park in the centre of the town and a dog walking area. I think it is quite flat, no hills, so walking is not a problem and there is a good pedestrian area with lots of cafes in which to sit and watch the world go by. It is 8+ miles to St Neots, a beautiful little town with the river running through it. Perfect for a visit.

Gone down-hill in the last few years and no decent shops. As with most small towns, completely overtaken with charity shops, vape shops and barbers.....a real shame as we used to love a stroll into the town

Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Excellent value and good to know the Old Great North Road =B1043 which is clue how to get there! We ate authentic Indian cuisine at the Resto next door and took good Value diesel at the 24/7 pumps also next door.

Quirky hotel 500 years old. Locality - central to village- close to Grantham water and Buckden Towers. Basic room. The hotel requires an upgrade but its architecture is great. The plumbing is a challenge. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

We liked the spacious accommodation, it's cleanliness and situation, its modern kitchen and eqipment. Ideal for a short stay. The addition of a freezer would have been appreciated. All in all this was very good value for money in a well maintained property.

Reception and booking in was very pleasant and efficient.

Reception and booking in was very pleasant and efficient. The room was warm. The bar and evening meal staff were great. The evening meals were really good and they had a nice beer on draught. The shower was too hot or cold; no in-between. The walls are paper thin, meaning I could hear phone calls, taps and toilet visits of next door rooms during the night. Windows and curtains are basic, so I heard people walking past from early morning. Breakfast was lovely.

Both the pub and the above rooms are brand new, spacious and created using the iconic British interior design. Large bathroom with a bath tub and shower very practical, bright and comfortable. The room has everything you need even an iron board and a super coffee machine. The bed is large and the matrass was brand new when I stayed there and I slept very deeply after a good warm bath.. I will definitely recommend it!

A sleepy, tiny "one pub" village deep in rural Cambridgeshire. Ideal if you just want to chill-out with a pint in the Stag pub (doesn't open on Sundays). There's no other shops there.
