- From US$146.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 245 reviewsIf you want a 5star hotel this is not the place for you. However you will not find friendlier, or more accommodating hosts anywhere, they cannot do enough for you. Delicious home cooked breakfast to order, residents bar. Large room, clean and comfortable, perfect for what we wanted. You'll need extra time for all the stories from Bruce and Tracy. 10 min walk to centre of town.Guest review bynicolaGermany

It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We could walk to dinner- a great place called Lullabelle’s on the foreshore. Short drive to Kennacraig ferry. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend!Guest review bySueAustralia

This was just an overnight stop on our way to Islay from Glasgow - we took an afternoon bus to Tarbert and got private transport to Kennakraig ferry terminal the morning after. The town was lovely, with a nice castle and a couple of good restaurants as well as a pub with plenty of whisky options. We might have even stayed a bit longer had we known it was such a lovely place.Guest review byManuel E.Poland - 8.0

Kintyre is absolutely gorgeous - so beautiful, unspoilt, rugged and wonderful. Campbeltown used to be a little run-down but it was looking pretty good with lots of independent shops, two distilleries and a busy yacht harbour. Campbeltown is a good base if you need buses and amenities and for shopping in supermarkets.Guest review byJaneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It is a nice village but really, very little there.
It is a nice village but really, very little there. Decent golf course and lovely views from the top but 2-3 hours would really be sufficient. Couple of beaches which are good but just not a lot to do.Guest review byIainUnited Kingdom - 10.0
An amazing set up.
An amazing set up. A good sized, well equipped, spotless en-suite room with a separate communal lounge/kitchen. Breakfast is in the welcoming cafe next door, run by the owners of the accommodation. There's also a gift shop and small garden centre. On an evening we were welcome to relax in the large conservatory/glasshouse. The staff were the best team we've come across this year. We wished we were staying longer.Guest review bykarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

20 mins drive from Tarbert - Starfish Inn highly recommended to eat. Great seafood. Clachan is situated on the main road to Campbelltown ie 50 mins. Close to ferry links to Gigha & Islay. Clachan is quiet, small hamlet with Petrol station.Guest review byTimothyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We loved the easy access to our room with 3 dogs and a massive walk in shower gave us that extra space. We loved the clean towels and also how special you made it for our dogs, extra doggie towels and blankets and chewies for all 3 :))) We loved tea and coffee, chocs and biscuits and shampoos etc We loved the restaurant options and easy access for the dogs plus being able to sit outside and enjoy beachfront views or inside sea views - awesome!! Extra special to take the dogs out for beach walks although sad about one of the Canadian geese, and too many dead seagulls on the shore but overall beautiful seaside adventure. We travelled down as far as Saddler and got to tour with best mate Jane. Enjoy the peace, quiet, clean natural lifestyle while you can and it becomes another tourist overcrowded beach.Guest review byTeniUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Wonderful property.
Wonderful property. Comfortable and spotless with all the facilities you will need for a self catering holiday. The views are to die for and it is very dog friendly. Location is great for exploring Kintyre and the islands. The host is lovely, very friendly and helpful. Great place to relax and unwind, but equally great for walking and exploring.Guest review byLeanaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Tarbert was a location I needed to visit for my book project. I had been here before. It is close to Saddell Abbey and Skipness Castle and the Tarbert Castle in town is worth the climb. Tarbert's history is also iinteresting.Guest review byPatUnited States - 10.0
