The host and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The host and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the decor. Breakfast was delicious, you had the option of cooked or continental - or both if you wanted. A quick walk to the town and we were in a stunning coastal village with cafes and shops. Would definately recommend this wee gem.Guest review byWendyNew Zealand - 10.0

The chalets are located in a beautiful spot on the hillside overlooking Loch Broom. Each chalet is very private and comfortable. They are perfectly located for those wishing to explore this stunning part of Scotland, or as a stop-off while travelling along the NC500.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A great base for touring Scotland's gorgeous North-West coast. Great fish and chips in Ullapool, as well as various quirky small shops and a good bookshop. The town also has an unromantic but hugely useful (if you're self-catering) Tesco. Where to go? Anywhere, it's all magnificent!Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The cottage was perfect in every way. The design and craftsmanship of it were top notch, it was exceptionally clean, and the special touches were well appreciated. All that in addition to a fantastic location.Guest review byDarrinUnited States - 10.0

Our place was just down around the corner from great restaurants and shops. The ferry is docked there. Fishing boats and guided tour boats. We were lucky enough to have car so we drove out to the lighthouse which was picture perfect. On our way home to our home away from home (CEOL MARA) we stopped by chance at Rhueart Gallery . It was truly wonderful to meet James Hawkins , artist supreme .Guest review byBarbCanada - 10.0

Living in Scotland it is easy to forget what is on your doorstep and a few days in the North West is a reminder of this! Stunning scenery, views, drives, walks, waterfalls, the sea, the food, are all incredible. A memorable few days made perfect by the location and quality of Leckmelm. The freedom of self-catering with pubs, Hotels and restaurants nearby for the occasional meal out with the comfort of being able to cook and cater for yourself in a spacious chalet with a great kitchen and comfortable living area. All with amazing views!Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Like much of the north-west, Ullapool has become expensive following the promotion of the NC500. There has not been a matching increase in quality in some places. Despite the extra visitors and a major recent upgrade to the sea front area there are still empty shops on the front. If this is to remain the premier tourist stop for the north-west it needs someone to give it a bit of a shake. Very sad really, Ullapool is a lovely village and need looking after.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The location was good for travelling to different places and plenty parking onsite. The down side was the view of the water was obscured by the overgrown bushes and wasn’t expecting to strip the bed on departure.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing.
Our stay at Inverlael Bothy Cottage was truly amazing. The Bothy Cottage has been beautifully restored and is full of Olde World charm and character: - exposed beams, mezzanine and original stonework. The views of the surrounding mountains and loch are spectacular, from the adjoining conservatory, along with the host's herd of cows and hens. The host's hospitality and friendly warmth are second to none. Fresh eggs were provided and we were made to feel very welcome. If you are looking for a loving, caring holiday home, with an exceptional host and hospitality Inverlael Farmhouse and Bothy Cottage should be your number 1 choice.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom
