Loved the town, daughter has her heart set on Hallam uni now. Keep an eye on which way you walk in and out of the city from the hotel as there were dodgy areas, like any city. Loved the fact that the centre is almost all pedestrianised. Had a fab meal in Bella Italia.Guest review byAnonymous - 2.0
Doncaster town is very depressing.
Doncaster town is very depressing. Big shops moved out and lots of shops closed entirely. Such a shame. We lived here for eleven years and moved with work but come back frequently to see friends. I liked the pool and gym. But the usage time could have opened a little later. You really need a car if you want to get around but plenty of parking space. The car park could have more lights as at night its quite dark especially if you're walking alone. The hotel was very nice. All the Staff and food quality were excellent.
All the Staff and food quality were excellent. Upgraded to a suite at a cost of £178 Per night. Incl breakfast. Room was in need of redecorating , floor needed hoovering as covered in glitter. Coffee machine wouldn’t work. General cleanliness of room was very poor. Roman blinds had dropped . No hot water for shower or wash at 5 pm. Bed mattress topper was lumpy. No means of drying towels in bathroom. Television came on by itself at Midnight at really high volume ! Would have been disappointed at half the price!
