my trip to Ipswich was more about using it as a base to visit other places and for that Ipswich is well located with frequent trains to most destinations in Suffolk and Essex as well as Cambridge and Norwich. It is a fairly compact town centre. One of the things on my to do list was visit Ipswich Transport Museum. Not easy to get to without own transport but a medium walk from Derby Road Station or more likely a bus ride via the 75 or 77 towards Felixstowe makes it worth a trip out.Guest review byRidderzaalUnited Kingdom - 10

My family used to holiday in Lowestoft either in the summer or at Whitsun every year from 1965-1970. As a youngster there was always so much to do & see there. I've been back several times since then & a lot of the attractions have disappeared. However the town revived several happy memoriesGuest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10

We love Felixstowe for the wonderful sea front/promenade.
We love Felixstowe for the wonderful sea front/promenade. Every time we go something else has been smartened up, it’s looking really good. It’s a great place to walk with our disabled daughter. We love Languard nature reserve and the cafe, watching ships and boats. And swimming in the sea feels safe, and we like the swimming pool too.Guest review byJulietUnited Kingdom - 10
Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet.
Loved Woodbridge. So friendly and quiet. Very interesting history re the museum, the long ship and the Tide Mill. Loved walking along the River Deben, spotting the two sisters. Sutton Hoo is a must. Great eating places, Marlowe’s, The Anchor - very good meals. Loved the church and the architecture and history of the whole area, houses and fantastic shops too. Very accessible for Southwold, Orford, Aldeburgh, Saxmundham etc al.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

We came back as we loved it. We brought our little dog and I knew I would be happy walking early. Loved seeing the mad swimmers, me huddled in a winter coat and them in costumes. We love the town, shops open and welcoming dogs too,Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10
A great place to stay for a relaxing break.
A great place to stay for a relaxing break. Lots of great places to eat and buy food, and shops to browse around. The seagulls are quiet and polite as there is a £2500 fine for feeding them, so they are used to catching their own fish. Do walk along to see the fish stalls and the giant clam.Guest review byMichele KUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Busy village high street with a few nice pubs. Went to Sudbury to find a proper restaurant that wasn't just pub food. Thought Scutcher's was too pricey and Black Lion not enough on menu appealed. Nice walk up to the two halls on the Sunday morning.Guest review byPhilipUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The Mildenhall museum was very good worth seeing the Anglo-Saxon worrier and horse skeleton. Was wonderful to see how the displays were presented starting from the pre historical era . It's free entry too. The two lovely ladies volunteering on Friday were very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming had a chat over coffee they so kindly offered. The St Mary's church was lovely too. Very quiet town but a good location to base and travel to other areasGuest review byindrikaUnited Kingdom
