- From US$118.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,266 reviewsThank you. This is not only the find of the trip, but the best find of the last 5 years of travelling. First, after 5 nights in 2 other 'luxury' 'exclusive' & 'smart' hotels, we thought this would be a disappointment, or at least be a little old and shabby ... How completely wrong we were. We were welcomed by Nicky, (more later) 2 hours before check-in, and while the room wasn't quite ready, we were offered somewhere to store the bags, a huge sofa to relax on, and truly outstanding food. After a week of meetings, slight disaster at one location, and then a non-stop 16 hour day in London, this was a super suprise. Nicky manages the whole hotel and restaurant with the pure class, cool and confidence that only comes from many years dealing with passengers on 'The World's Favourite Airline', and I haven't met a better manager in the last 20 trips. And that right across the board, from Gastro pub to Country club to 5 Star London landmark. She makes everything seem like it isn't the slightest of bother, delivers exactly what is offered or promised, and from our 48 hours with her, truly cares about her team, the hotel and of course the guests. When we were given our room, the suprise continued, not only freshly refurbished, but not a single item that didn't work, the latest Samsung Smart Hotel Tvs, and decorated in a fun and modern way. And then the bed. ... the bed was larger, better dressed and presented, and more comfortable than any other in my last 5 trips to the UK. And while there are no baths in the hotel, the shower was super modern, wet-room style, with separate rain shower head and hand shower. And to top it off....immaculately, almost compulsively clean. With no corners cut. So, as far as the hotel, the welcome, the room, the food and the service..... truly 5* quality, with countryside pub charm, for distinctly 1-2 star pricing. And then the above and beyond.....Guest review byAlexanderGermany
- From US$185.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 320 reviewsThe whole inn is just spectacular. The fact that you can stay in an inn that’s running since the 17. century is beyond everything. The location is amazing, there’s a church in front of the inn which was built in 1190. I stayed in the Tudor Parlour room with my partner, it was clean and lovely, the beams through the walls are just beautiful. There was a tray with tea bags and coffee and sweet treats which is always a nice touch in a room. The sheets and the towels were extra soft. Not to mention the bathtub in the bathroom, it was really nice! The dining area with the beams and old tables was also just beyond beautiful with the lights and the whole atmosphere. We had breakfast with many options to choose from with different kind of teas and coffee. We also had a dinner in the inn which again was delicious. The manager and the staff, hence the locals were kind and sweet and I can’t wait to come back in the future!Guest review byBettinaHungary
- From US$78.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.1Passable - What previous guests thought, 771 reviewsThis hotel is pet friendly. The room was exactly as I expected. The hotel is very conveniently located and the room has everything you need. For those who need a break from the daily grind, this is the perfect place. Please note that there is no lift and they don't serve breakfast in the hotel. Many leave negative reviews, but I do not agree with them. If you need to have employees fussing around you, then book other more expensive hotels, but if you need peace, unobtrusive service and a kind attitude towards your pet, this is the place for you. I will continue to stop here further, for me it is an ideal choice.Guest review byKeiraIreland
- From US$183.50 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 917 reviewsWonderful place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights. The room was great, warm, spacious and cozy, with a tv and a terrace, it included iron, hair dryer and kettle with lots if tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies (that was such a nice gesture, I really appreciated it) Loved that there were really nice toiletries products, even hand cream. Staff was nice, the check in and check iut was fast, everything was clean, great hotel! It is located right across the railway station in Haslemere.Guest review byDanielaMoldova
- From US$152.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 592 reviewsWe loved the location. The rooms were spacious, private, clean and cosy. The menu at the restaurant catered for all tastes and the food was absolutely delicious including the breakfast. Obviously, none of this could have been achieved without the fabulous staff who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.Guest review byTracy-AnneAustralia

Haslemere and surrounds is a lovely area.
Haslemere and surrounds is a lovely area. There are many small shops, eateries, a few charity shops, and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance from the Harper's, and the people are friendly. Also handy to train (directly across the road), for exploring further afield. A recommendation would be to also take the train to Portsmouth and enjoy a hovercraft ride across the solent to Ryde, and explore the Isle of White by opentop buses. As mentioned in my review of Harper's, it cost GBP92 return for 2 people (train and hovercraft combined). Opentop and other buses payable separately on the island. In previous years (2018) we also went to the hovercraft museum (only open Saturdays as far as I recall). Another place worthwhile visiting, particularly if on a budget, is the maritime museum at Portsmouth, as there is a lot to see at no cost. The Swan Inn in Haslemere (pictured) is also a good and fairly priced place to dine.Guest review byBradAustralia - 8.0

This was convenient for an overnight stay in the area at an attractive price. We were only looking for a bed for the night and this fitted th bill perfectly. The building is overdue a refurb as the were many plastic containers lying around to catch rainwater leaks (There is a lot of rain at the moment to make matters worse!). Staff were friendly and helpful. A good breakfast in the morning was helpful. This location would be stunning during the summer months and give a good base for exploring the area.Guest review byAnt4paiglesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The little shop opposite the Porsche garage in Ewhurst is a great find. We had dinner at the Parrot and would thoroughly recommend - we were a party of 7 adults and 5 children and the staff were very kind and patient, plus the food was excellent.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

we had stayed at the hotel previously and enjoyed it so decided to return to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The only grips was that the window view I paid for was limited and to make the most of it we need to move furniture and the window wouldn’t stay open. It was a very hot day but much cooler night and if we could’ve opened the window we would’ve had a much better night sleep. We were provided with a fan in the room that was far too noisy and made a little difference to the ambient temperature. Small but significant observations.Guest review byMilesUnited Kingdom
