- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.0Good - What previous guests thought, 1,808 reviewsSuch a friendly, helping and lovely staff at Avon Hotel. They helped us with everyting we needed, city instructions,Oyster cards, socket adapter, taxi for the airport.I felt so sorry I didnt had the chance to say goodbay with a big hug because of the early hour we left.I recomand Avon Hotel,it is closed to eveeything,15- 20 min to anywhere you wished to go.The Paddington station is 3 min walk.We only used the undergound and not the bus.The Hyde Park is 5- 10 min walk and it is amazing to visit. We basically walked from Hyde Park to Victoria station. The breakfast was also very good and tasty, with coffee, orange juice, tea, fruits. In London it is not easy to find a hotel which offers also breakfast, therefore for this location is a plus and it is something what we were looking for when choosing the hotel.Highly recomomend Avon Hotel!Guest review byIsabellaRomania

Anuar in the breakfast room is particularly fun, helpful and always chatty. We absolutely love the Dorchester and can’t wait to return! Also a thank you to all for making a special birthday even more spectacular- the attention to detail, all the spoils and kindness shown did not go unnoticed!Guest review byDominiqueSouth Africa

A huge city as many others.
A huge city as many others. Many things to see and experience, do some research up front and you will surely be pleased. One very positive experience: all public transport can be paid by contactless card with pay as you go, no prepayment needed. Fare is not expensive either. Way to go London.Guest review byZsoltCroatia - 10.0

Delightful old town with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Lovely old buildings, especially the almshouses and the church. Friendly people. Good eating places. Smashed avocado at The Pablo Lounge is excellent! Good location for catching a bus into Oxford or for exploring the area generally. Walks along river delightful.Guest review byPamelaUnited Kingdom - 6.0

I have to say that Gravesend is not the prettiest of towns with many derelict buildings. The most impressive building in the town is the Sikh Temple. The town is very busy with traffic but is fairly easy to navigate around. We stayed in a very pleasant guest house outside of town which was perfect for going to Leo's Music Venue. This is the only reason we came to Gravesend. We ate at The Three Daws pub which has been pretty good on both times we visited. Traditional British Pub with a good British Menu. We had breakfast at The Hot Rod American Diner in Northfleet which again was very good!Guest review byFlotsam & JetsamUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The worst experience of my 40 years travelling life.
The worst experience of my 40 years travelling life. My room door which opens to the outside world had several vertical cracks that let in both the outside cold air and light. The key to the door was the 100 year old key hole that also let in drafty cold air and light. The water radiator had no controls on it. they were removed. The provided pillow was a couch pillow, not a sleeping pillow, big/fat and round with no give. The room was a shoe box 3 meters by 3 meters for which I paid over $260 per night. The bathroom was smaller than an outhouse. I could go on. the only positive is that it is 5 min walk from Twickenham rugby ground. Not worth it.Guest review byWolfgangCanada - 10.0

A good stop off town ‘Lechlade on Thames’ to visit local places like the Buscot National Trust Manor and gardens. Just a 2 minute drive to one of the canal locks ( St. John’s) and a walk along the tow path for an evening stroll.Guest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I was in Pangbourne for a family event rather than to explore the town itself, but it made a great base. If you’re visiting from abroad or elsewhere in the UK, it’s ideally located – close to London for easy access, and just minutes from Reading, where you’ll find all the big shops, supermarkets, and anything else you might need. The town itself is charming and quintessentially British, with pretty cottages, lovely countryside, cosy pubs, and a nice selection of local shops and dining options. It would make a perfect peaceful base for visiting nearby places like Windsor, London, Reading, or even Stonehenge and Salisbury, which are just over an hour away.Guest review bySvenFrance - 6.0

Lots of local shops and easy access to Syon Park, but Isleworth railway station is closed to ALL trains due to engineering works. Rail replacement bus service was great on Sunday, but would have been very difficult on weekdays and Saturday due to extensive road works.Guest review bySandraSwitzerland
