Bradford gets a bum rap, which is a shame as it's got so much. Overshadowed by Leeds just a few miles away (why?!), Bradford is working hard to ditch the brutal mistakes of 70s town planning - and look what's hiding underneath! Gems of Victorian architecture; an increasingly walking friendly city centre; three superb arts/music venues; and a vibrant vibe that comes for its centuries of diverse communities making the city their home. Never boring! Top tip - Waterstones! It's in the old wool trading building on Hustlergate and is truly magnificent.Guest review byMee - 8.0

We went to visit the Hepworth Gallery and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Finding somewhere to eat on Tuesday night was a challenge! But bus services to both the gallery and the YSP were good. Quite a few places for breakfast on offer.Guest review byAnnUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Huddersfield doesn't have the best of reputations, which is a pity. I think that it's an absolute gem. The buildings are gorgeous, particularly to one who looks, such detail and reference to the industrial past. From the entrance steps to the railway station, one can see a lion and a prime minister. If you roam and keep your eyes open, there is so much more. I ate at my hotel. i travelled by car,Guest review byRichardUnited Kingdom - 10

Ilkley is in a beautiful part of the country.
Ilkley is in a beautiful part of the country. There are walks in the countryside around it with beautiful views. A friend and I go to the Literature Festival whenever we can and it is always full of interesting talks by great writers and thinkers. There are a few good Italian restaurants and some good independent cafes which serve good food too.Guest review byKushereUnited Kingdom - 10

Hebden bridge was an attractive town and very easy to walk round. We came by train and used buses to travel as well as walking. We ate at shoulder of mutton twice and found it good value and tasty food. Bus to Haworth another attractive place with lots of history. Walk to heptonstall very steep but another pretty village with great coffee shop. Packed a lot into 2 days but enjoyed every minute.Guest review bySpencerUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The hotel is not for from the M62 North or South it is just off junction 25 & its takes me about 10 minutes to Odsal Stadium in Bradford that is why I use this hotel every time I do this trip. The cheapest hotel you will find in the area & very good value for the money you will spend & I would recomend this hotel of anyone wanted to stay in the area for 1 night or the weekend, might be a bit dearer for the weekend as I would not no what that would be as I only stay for a Saturday night only. Very good breakfast, nice & clean comfortoble rooms, also the staff are very plesent.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
