- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 136 reviewsWe fell in love with the island and this charming boutique hotel. The view from the bed in the Junior Suite was insanely beautiful. The staff, especially the hostesses, was very friendly and helpful (extra grateful for the recommendations and care of Dafni). The breakfast was fine! The mattresses are hard, we liked it, but it comes to preference.Guest review byJesperBelgium

It is so nice not having cars, only donkeys. Makes it more authentic and relaxing. The restaurants generally serve a high standard of food at differing prices. The sea is crystal clear for swimming at the beaches away from the town.Guest review byLorraineUnited Kingdom - 10

Mandraki was a hidden gem of a place, only a 20-minute walk along the coast from Hydra Town, but away from all the hustle and bustle and with its own little beach and taverna - everything you could possibly need for a deeply relaxing holiday.Guest review byTanyaUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The island is very touristy.
The island is very touristy. The tourists are concentrated in a limited area. There seem to be more tourists than Greeks. The Greeks servicing the tourists seemed to be overwhelmed and many did not appear to be friendly.Guest review byAnonymous - 10

I was last on the island in 1997 and although it is much more commercial now, it is still charming. There are no cars, you walk or take a small boat to get between the towns. Charming restaurants and rock beaches - there is good food and drink to be found at reasonable prices. Note that I visited in October, I assume that this island is beyond capacity in the summer.Guest review byRobertCanada
