AustraliaAlitini and Demetrios the hosts of Hotel Asteria are amazing. The room was cosy and comfortable with a view from the balcony of the town and mountains. There is a big lounge/breakfast area to sit and watch TV plus a lovely verandah with tables and chairs. I chose Asteria because it was the only accommodation I could find that served breakfast. There's a short walk to the beach and thermal pool, and at the end of their street is a road that leads over the mountain to Agios Kirikos with great views of the coastline, Turkey and about six islands on a clear day.

I have come to Kerame with my family and also twice with my children (now 3.5 and 7.5 years old) we love Ikaria and we love Kerame. It is a perfect family hotel (watch the steps though!) with pool and terraces off the room. The staff are so kind. Great breakfast and very good food in the little terrace that we can eat on our terrace (big bonus with small kids) we will come back every year! Love from Syros!

The accommodation was perfect, comfortable and beautiful setting. Stella spoilt us with fresh fruit and pancakes. We loved the area and the local beach and port are beautiful. Lots of good restaurants in the area.

Helpful staff translating all communication with restaurants and car hire. Suggesting wine tastings, beaches to visits, surfing lessons and nail salons. All of which we completed in 4 days, with ease.

Good starting point for visiting the south part and even the entire island. Very nice and friendly people accommodated all my needs for a short and adventurous experience on the island. Pristine nature, breathtaking views, nice beaches and warm mineral water springs!

A small village at the northwestern part of the island. It's definitely nice for a couple of days but after that there's nothing much to do there. Good location though if you're planning to explore the inner part of the island and the Raches villages.

Evdhilos is a nice small town.
Evdhilos is a nice small town. It offers some basic facilities: some restaurants, cafés and minimarkets. There are also several (4?) car rentals.
Being on an island with few inhabitants and not too much tourism, it of course does not have the same facilities as some other places.

We loved our stay in Raches...the village was very friendly...excellent food at both restaurants...all the locals were very friendly...we had coffee in the square each morning...got bread from the baker straight out of the oven. There was plenty to do in the area...we visited a beautiful old church and also drove to the beach for a lovely afternoon

Traditional Greek environment. A few cute restraunts and cafes. Cute beaches and adorable little port great from snorkeling. There is a boat that takes you to Agia Kyrikos a few times per week and another for Seychelles beach daily.

The area is peaceful and tranquil. perfect if you just want to be away and enjoy some relaxation. There is a bus connection with the bigger area for the nightlife, the port for connections with Athens or with the Fourni islands and just for some food/leisure.

Armenistis is a lovely place to stay but if you want to see...
Armenistis is a lovely place to stay but if you want to see the best parts of the island you really need a car. I didn't have one and felt that I didn't see more than the beach. The seasonal bus had stopped running so I wasn't able to go very far which was quite frustrating. The fresh water terrapins in the lagoons at the back of the beaches are very special.
