They were exceptional hosts, meticulously tending to every detail. The space exuded comfort and pristine cleanliness, providing an inviting atmosphere. Remarkably, they even catered to my baby's needs by including a conveniently placed potty train in the room. The facilities offered were nothing short of spectacular, undoubtedly ranking among the finest accommodations. Without a doubt, if I were to revisit Kefalonia, Poesia would be my top choice once more.

We stayed at Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa and absolutely loved it. The hotel was clean, compact, and perfectly located — close to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, and the airport. The staff were always friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Although the hotel’s proximity to the airport might bother some guests due to occasional noise, for us, each plane landing was like a fun little air show. Plus, there’s no air traffic after a certain hour, so it never disturbed our sleep. We genuinely felt at home during our stay. Thank you for everything!

Breathtaking Natural Scenery and Turquoise Waters

The outstanding island of Kefalonia (or Cephalonia) is the largest of the Ionian Sea and has gorgeous turquoise waters, picturesque villages, breathtaking mountains and green forests.

    We stay one week in June 2025 and our stay was simply perfect! The hotel is quite big and very nice. The complete staff was VERY kind, helpful and nice: from the man who welcomed us at our arrival late in the night (with food and drinks), to ladies at the welcome desk (especially Stephanie who helped us in arranging a materass exchange and Maria who enabled our much appreciated late check-out) to the kitchen staff who prepared fantastic eggs each morning, to the cleaning staff, to the beach bar waiters that brought us drinks to the beach under the hot sun. Special appreciation also to Stefania for the Yoga classes and to Angie for the mobility classes. VERY professional and beneficial for our minds and bodies. We attended a total of four classes in the breath-taking location and each of them was a true pleasure! Food at the à la carte restaurant is very good, and also the beach bar nice! The hotel private beach is small and rocky but very beautiful and with all comforts (including bar service and shower). We also enjoy the other beach (not from the hotel, but easily accessible by stairs from the hotel) which is sandy and bigger. The hotel has a practical and spacious parking. In a nutshell: we totally enjoy and recommend The White Rocks Hotel. We will definitely come back :)

    The villa is amazing, very well equipped. The rooms are very nice and all of them have an amazing view. The property garden is huge and having breakfast/dinner outside was a big plus for us. The location of the villa is amazing for you to explore all of the island (car/scooter is definently needed because the island is so big and there are tons of beaches to see). All in all, we've had the best time.

    Argostoli is a sizable city.

    Argostoli is a sizable city. It has nice restaurants, shops and resources, but not what I came to a Greek Island to do. The rest of Kefalonia has many wonderful, picturesque villages and beaches with quaint restaurants and places to explore. The people of Kefalonia are generally friendly and helpful.

    Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...

    Sami was my favourite location on Kephalonia...I scooted round the island but feel Sami is the most laid back. I liked the bit of beach where the locals swam. The food was good at all the restaurants and I particularly enjoyed drinking in the evening at the blues bar. The only thing that tainted my stay was when on the last day just before I was about to drop my scooter off the police pulled me over for not having an helmet on...and gave me a huge fine of £335. Man all the locals were scooting round without helmets...how come I got whacked? Nice place though

    You can tell by the size of some of the yachts that are moored here, it is a more expensive resort. However the warmth and service from the staff at the shops and restaurant remains. You are able to take day ferries to other islands from here

    We have visited Lassi many times and we have returned...

    We have visited Lassi many times and we have returned because it has all the elements of a great holiday. A good variety of beaches offering good swimming, snorkeling and facilities, many accessible by foot as well as car. The resort is laid back and spread out, it does not feel busy, although there are a good range of restaurants, supermarket and shops. There are also pleasant places to walk, particularly round the Fanari area. A key advantage is the proximity to Argostoli, particularly at the end of the season, we always know that if we need any shopping or more variety of restaurants and shops, it is a short drive or taxi-ride away. It also offers a lovely harbour area for a nice stroll.

    Lots of choice of bars and restaurants all manned by super friendly staff and food was excellent. Everything was close together along with some restaurants overlooking the lovely Sandy beach which stretched for miles. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and had several day trips out exploring everything this beautiful island had to offer. Would definitely recommend a visit.

We visited here 34 years ago and yes it has changed but not too much and did not disappoint. Could have stayed for months! The locals were very welcoming. Can't wait to return.

    Small, friendly town. Loads and loads of restaurants.

    Small, friendly town. Loads and loads of restaurants. And cats. Lovely to eat on the harbour front in the evening. Short, cheap ferry ride to Argostoli (saved us a 20+ miles drive on our return to airport).

    beautiful, if you're looking for peace and quiet and just to chill away from crowds and mass tourism you have come to the right place. A few hotels, taverns and one shop we love it. La Travena Opposite Astra Village is a beautiful restaurant run by the most amazing women and the food is excellent, lovely people. Wouldn't go by the bus time table displayed on the bus stop they are out of date. ask around and see if a local can give you an up-to-date one. But would recommend the round trip to see the island and the turtles in Agostini. We did the island tour with Kefalonia tours and that was good as well.

    A quaint little village.

    A quaint little village. Be aware that the village is at the bottom of a very mountainous area. Find a place with with 50 to 100m distance to the village. Also, if driving, take plenty of water as it is not drinkable there.

    Paradise Pool Bar is exceptional.

    Paradise Pool Bar is exceptional. The food and the atmosphere are a credit to the team! Argo is a great place to eat and drink, any time of the day. Simple food very well done, with excellent attention to detail and service. Martha's Cafe is a traditional meeting spot that gives you a true sense of Greek life. Octopus Meze Bar is a great place to base yourself for a day at the beach with good food and service. Rent a car at Odysseus Palace and explore a little further!
