- From US$158.65 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 762 reviewsThey allowed our group of 6 to take all 3 rooms on the same floor instead of the other building, I think because we'd been there before and had fond memories of the deck right off that 2nd floor. Our host was wonderful! She made us feel totally at home. The breakfast she provided was excellent. If we get to go to Croatia again, we will definitely stay at the Villa Borgo and enjoy the peaceful beauty of Motovun! I hope we will have our same hostess--she was beloved by all of us!Guest review byGARYUnited States

In general, this hotel is out of this world, if you’re into nature and peaceful vacation no matter how long this is the place to be! Not really far away from the seaside, Rovinj or Umag, great restaurants in the area also, everything was perfect really.Guest review byDarkoBosnia and Herzegovina

Great little town to walk around in. Great local wineries.
Great little town to walk around in. Great local wineries. Amazing local fruit stand as you make your way up the hill. He had the best selection of the most wonderful fruit and veggies. The ice cream was fantastic. Sampling of truffles and local alcohol without being pressured was amazing. Just fantastic hospitality overall shown by the locals.Guest review byJadCanada - 6.0

We visited Buzet around 5pm in late July and it was extremely quiet and a bit underwhelming with only 2 cafes open. Nearby towns are more lively and beautiful. However it is supposed to be buzzing in autumn for truffle season.Guest review byBenedicteUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Grožnjan is a jewel of a town with a charm all its own.
Grožnjan is a jewel of a town with a charm all its own. I could stay here for weeks and never tire of strolling along the cobbled streets and narrow alleyways. There are numerous cats to befriend as well. The only drawback are the crowds, which are enormous during the summer. The best time to visit is in the spring and autumn when the crowds are fewer and the galleries are still open.Guest review bySteven LoySlovenia - 10.0
The nature around Pazin is simply amazing.
The nature around Pazin is simply amazing. I have had a really hard time choosing which routes I want to take, cause there were many great things. There were also many other things to do that I did not even get to, such as a visit to the cave, the ziplining and exploring the old city. I would love to come back again and stay longer to explore the things that I did not have time for during this trip.Guest review byAlexanderGermany - 10.0

Great central hub for touring Istria since it is around 1 hour drive to almost anywhere in Istria, but set in peaceful rural location. Many wineries are within a 1-15 minute drive, don't miss a visit to OH wines. The only real drawback of Vizinada is that grocery availability is very limited, you may need to drive 20 minutes away to find a Spar grocery.Guest review byMorrisUnited States - 10.0

We walked to town to have dinner - a great walk thru the forest and farms and views of Motovun. Oprtalj is just the perfect small little village to explore. Mountain biking would be great exploration for our next trip in this area. We could easily spent 3 weeks here instead of just 3 days. Our host gave us much information of places to visit thru smaller roadways as well as his history of his own family farm and village, and his work in restoration work of the building and tasting rooms.Guest review byCathyUnited States - 10.0
The village is charming like stepping back in time.
The village is charming like stepping back in time. Our stay at Foscari was truly exceptional in every way. A fabulous restaurant a 5 minute walk away Sanvincent53 - we attended twice as the food and wine selection was exceptional. The interior & exterior design were modern yet we felt at home with the thoughtfully created ambiance. Driving in surrounding areas was easy and people friendly wherever we went.Guest review byMadelaineCanada - 8.0

Motovun is a wonderful place full of history and unique charm, though travelers should know that almost all of the restaurants and bars are closed during the month of February. In February it resembles a ghost town.Guest review bySteven LoySlovenia - 10.0

Very nice town, lovely locals, food and local distillery products and tryouts of various drinks cocktails. We called the town of truffles as here it is plenty of them and you can taste even beer with truffles, cookies, salt, cheese, butter, oil, etc. Everything can be tryout with a flavor of truffle.Guest review bySarunas LLithuania - 10.0

Grožnjan was a charming hill-top village in a stunning location. The town is filled with artists selling their products and the village was absolutely gorgeous with stone buildings and streets. We ate at Bistro Artegnana 1798, and the food and service were great. The view towards the ocean was lovely and perfect for your next sunset. Definitely recommend a visit.Guest review byNatalieAustralia
