- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 4,128 reviewsEverything was very good: 1) the location - just 2 minutes walk from the sea where there are lots of attractions; and ca. 20 mins walk from Porec by beautiful promenade 2) the hotel itself: very spacious, clean, very nice and fantastic very clean swimming pools (1 quite big and 2 smaller for chill or for children) + nice chill out area with hammocks; entertainment programme also ok - nice evening music which was very appreciated 3) food: large variety with good choice of fish, meat and fruit every day; it was also very nice from the hotel that despite the fact the dinner according to the time schedule was supposed to start at 18:30 we could enter the dining area even 10-15mins earlier 4) staff: in the reception very nice people, real professionals. We were offered the upgraded room for the same price with pool view - many thanks for this. Vrsar was charming and small, much more welcoming than over-crowded Rovinj. We got a nice welcome and great tips from our host and felt a much more local-friendly vibe. Funtana itself is a small place.
Funtana itself is a small place. A few (very good) restaurants, a big supermarket, a marina. And a few very big camping sites. So it's not a place where you have a boulevard to walk in the evening with shops and a lot of people. These are in cities like Porec, 10 kilometers away. The hosts has been kindly, friendly, helpfully but respectfully. The room was great for us, a couple in the sixtees. We liked the quietness and tranquility of the location and the area. We liked the extensious walkings in the nature around, fields, little woods and on the seaside. Porec, Novigrad and Umag were nearby and in a few minutes to reach by car. There were not so many restaurants open in the village, but the two ones we visited served delicous meals and best wine. We escaped from the cold and foggy weather in Austria to the sunny, clean and salty mediterranean air of Istria and wouldn't have been disappointed. There would have been worth to be visited a lot of more locations nearby, if we would have had the time for it. Great central hub for touring Istria since it is around 1 hour drive to almost anywhere in Istria, but set in peaceful rural location. Many wineries are within a 1-15 minute drive, don't miss a visit to OH wines. Sveti Lovrec is a beautiful clean, quiet village, the Villa is on The outskirts of the village but within walking distance of the local shop and bar. The locals were all friendly. Very nice city, with wonderful old town and nice beaches. The restaurants are good as well, and anybody can find something to pass the time. The nightlife is very active, there are many oppurtinites to have a party. Who is looking for a more quiet holiday, they should consider book their aparment away from the city center. The beaches are good but sometimes overcrowded. If you plan to visit other places in Istria, Porec is a good "home base". Everything is 50-70km away.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 10.0

Atmospheric small town with harbour. Lots of super eating places. Old town on the hill full of cafes and easily accessed by charming road train. Miles of traffic free cycle and walking paths adjoining the sea to nearby resorts including FKK in Koversada. Funtana is a typical Croatian holiday village with huge campings and amusement park. Everything you need is in a close distance. Very nice fish food restaurant MORE, Spacious city beach with free parking and facilities (beach club). Very close to Vrsar or Porec bigger cities and the Lim fjord.
