Everything! It’s a real juvel the house the courtyard and the restaurant it’s an experience in itself- it’s worth a trip just to be there. The room is also very beautifully decorated and modern a huge lavish bathroom, the decorations and originality. I would come back only to stay there for days even if the city itself isn’t a big attraction.

Nicely renovated, clean, large open spaces. Plenty of separation from outdoor smoking areas. The pools were clean and a good temperature for outdoors. Free onsite parking. Breakfast had sufficient variety and plenty of it. The staff (two lovely young women seemed to be running the show) were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Every request was answered with a smile and "yes of course". Even made me a sandwich and coffee at 10.30pm. I had booked for two nights, Saturday and Sunday but mucked up the dates so they were expecting us on the Friday. I asked if they could add a third night so we could still leave on Monday. "Yes of course"! Guess what? They refused to charge us more!

    We had an amazing time at Pilvax Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by incredible care and attention from the staff. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, and our room was clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Particularly noteworthy: Cleanliness and Comfort: The room was impeccably clean, the bed linen was fresh, and the bed was very comfortable. Amenities: The room had everything we needed – air conditioning, a mini-bar, a safe, and fast Wi-Fi. Location: The hotel is located in a convenient area, close to major attractions and transport links. Service: The staff were always ready to help and answer any questions. Breakfast: The variety and quality of the breakfast food were impressive. There were fresh fruits, delicious pastries, and a variety of hot dishes.     If you are looking for a change of pace, somewhere quiet to reflect, unwind and recharge while being looked after by excellent hosts then Gedeon Tanya hits the spot. Welcomed by Zsolt, the owner, with a shot of apricot brandy he patiently answered my endless questions about Gedeon Tanya. It is a small holding/active farm, with modern rooms. Eat dinner there and enjoy his mother's (Eva) home cooking, delicious. If you are lucky as I was, you will sample his farm reared Hungarian Steppe Grey beef. Fantastic breakfast, with homemade dried beef and salami. You can't go wrong.

    Calm and quiet, perfect for relaxation, what we desperately needed after demanding December at work and hectic days and traffic jams around New Years Eve. We absolutely recommend Superior Room with Balcony. Great staff, polite and friendly, even though we don't speak Hungarian and most of them are not quite good sith their English - they managed to resolve all requests. :))) Food was really good!

    The staff are incredibly kind & hospitable. The communication and care was immaculate. The room was clean, comfortable & warm. They went above & beyond to accommodate even the tiniest request without question.     Nice, modern hotel not far from the city center, about a 10 minute walk. The staff is friendly and accommodating and speaks English. The room was small and basic but comfortable. Great value for the price. Not far off the EuroVelo6 so convenient for bikers.

    The city center is very pretty, full of flowers in the parks...

    The city center is very pretty, full of flowers in the parks and nice cafes all around. We really liked the market with all the local produce. There are really nice little shops on Rakoczi Street. Many restaurants offer a 2 course menu at lunch time for really great price. The Benko Zoltan Park is a great place to go walking, running or to have a pic-nick The big hill in the middle has a great view from the top. The city has a very nice atmosphere and perfect choice for a long weekend away.

    Directly off the M5 motorway towards Budapest.

    Directly off the M5 motorway towards Budapest. Has free parking and 24 hour services. Safe as it has CCTV. Excellent restaurant and bar. Rooms were very clean and had everything we needed. We had our dog with us and she was facilitated too We all slept well as the room was sound proofed.Definitely great value for money . The biggest plus and what made our return visit is the lovely friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. We'll be back.

    A quiet town full of greenery and flowers. Clean and tidy streets. Worth seeing are the pepper museum, the cybernetic tower CHRONOS 8 and the archbishop's library with priceless old atlases, globes and books.

    Cute little town, kind and helpful people.

    Cute little town, kind and helpful people. There were many programs when we stayed in the city, circus, garden cinema etc. There is a fantastic little restaurant called Tanya Csarda that we really recommend to anyone.

    I would really recommend visiting Varga Tanya near...

    I would really recommend visiting Varga Tanya near Kerekegyháza. We had an amazing time there, the staff was really helpful and kind to us. It has wellness facilities as well, including a jacuzzi and a sauna, and much more. They serve delicious food there for both breakfast and dinner, which includes traditional hungarian dishes as well. The great plain in the neighbourhood is perfect for a long walk. It is very close to nature and has a quiet, calm atmosphere where you can get away from the noise of the city and enjoy some relaxed quiet time.

    We stopped here on our way back from Greece.

    We stopped here on our way back from Greece. We were only in the center, which we were excited about! The central squares are connected. There is a beautiful Art Nouveau town hall, an Art Nouveau palace and several churches of different denominations. But what surprised us the most was the amount of greenery and fountains, which was very refreshing in the summer heat.

    We visited a couple of museums.

    We visited a couple of museums. They were quite cheap but interesting. The first a folk museum had a fascinating collection of rocks and gemstones and information about the history of Hungary with traditional lace costumes and painted pottery. The paprika museum was interesting and had information in Hungarian,English and German ( and possibly French)on the types of pepper and how the crop is harvested and prepared to make different strengths of paprika. There was also information on local vineyards and types of wine. The town centre is being repaved at the moment but lots of interesting historical monuments and statues to see. Locals very helpful directing us to a local cafe with ice cream. Lovely Italian restaurant il Primo.

    A very pretty small town with interesting architecture. We were there because a relative was in the local (very good) hospital, but the stay was very pleasant, the people friendly and the food good and varied. We got free travel to and from the hospital because of our age!
