This hotel is one of the best hotels we have been in our trip in Indonesia. The hotel is surrounded by ricefields and the location is amazing, calm and peaceful. Rooms are cozy and clean. The staff is what has made this staying so great. They are so kind and friendly and they try to accomodate every requests. We did some tours with them and they have been really interesting!

The pool is a lovely spot to relax, perfectly complementing the serene atmosphere. What really sets this place apart, however, is the incredibly warm and attentive staff. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is nothing short of perfect. A particularly touching gesture was when one of the staff members drove all the way back home to fetch traditional clothing for us, so we could attend a Hindu ceremony at a nearby family temple—an experience we’ll never forget. They are also an invaluable source of local knowledge, able to connect you with the very best guides if you’re interested in learning about Balinese customs and history, or if you simply want to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sekumpul. The area is breathtaking, with terraced rice fields, lush, aromatic vegetation filled with herbs and fruits, and of course, the magnificent waterfalls that are nothing short of awe-inspiring. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly—it’s a hidden gem and a perfect retreat for those seeking a genuine and enriching Bali experience.

Could not fault this place, a real find, we were so happy when we arrived here and looked around. We used the hotel transport to get here from Sanur, a good idea, as the Bintang Munduk is fairly isolated. Ery was a great driver and guide. Wonderful views over the lush mountains and forests. We took the local walk to the waterfalls nearby, well worth doing as they are beautiful. The hotel staff are superb, such a great team, they made our stay. Lovely room, open air bathroom, full of character. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast and dinner options and the infinity pool is lovely. Thanks to Gus and the team, you guys are fantastic.

Peaceful natural environment. So much wildlife. Monkeys, deer, Bali starlings, monitor lizards. Attentive and lovely staff. A wonderful welcome coconut and 5 minute massage after our long drive. Excellent turn down service inclusive of natural mosquito repellants. Beautiful outlook. Incredible spa nestled among mangroves overlooking the ocean. Daily kids activities. Water filter in the room was handy. It felt like a proper escape.

Puri Bali is very relaxing, the staff are really friendly and the pool area is lovely. The air con is the best we’ve had and we’ve been travelling for two months. Great location to Restaurants/markets etc. The other guests were all really friendly, saying good morning and hello when you walk past and I think that’s influenced by the overall vibe of the place :)

What can I say? This place is perfectly hidden away in a beautiful location right beside the beach, amongst beautiful gardens. The staff are amazing and make you feel at home. Always a friendly smile, and they will go out of their way to make sure you have the best stay here. The food is excellent too. My second time there, and definitely not my last.

We stayed near Agung beach to far away from Lovina beach where there are more options for dining and entertainment. The highlight of our Lovina stay was our trip to Menjangan Island, however it was an hour and a half drive from Lovina. Menjangan is mentioned in all the tour options as a 20 minute boat ride, it is, but only after the long drive.

Temperature (around 18-19 degrees celcius in the evening) and beautiful countryside and vegetation - many waterfall walks available (although quite tourist heavy). Beautiful area and totally different to the various beach spots of Bali.

The area he’s like Bali 40 years ago. You are better off staying at a resort on the northern end of the beach, they are beautiful clean and with excellent food and staff, and away from the mosque. Eco Taste, Dimpil Beach Bar, Wrung Rama, The Sage excellent places to eat with cheap healthy fresh food. The Taman, Sari resort & Amertha Resort also have excellent food but more expensive.

Nice relaxed rural/coastal Bali, great place to just wind it back and take time to slow down. Snorkeling, temple tours both great, hot springs are truely hot and well worth the visit (anytime of day or night), but I’ll mostly remember the friendly approachable people in the neighbourhood. Lovely people (great food)

Located outside of Singaraja by about 10kms is "OMunity Bali". It is situated in the traditional highland village of Sudaji.. To get to this location you need to make your own transport arrangements to go there and especially leaving is harder as the local Grab App doesn't seem to reach to here. OMunity prepared food is delicious and creative but eating out elsewhere didn't have much choice esp if vegetarian. The ambience is relaxing, friendly and uncrowded. Walking around the neighborhood is pleasant, and there are short road trips with walks or treks to some of the most stunning scenic places in Bali.

The lack of traffic, the water is clean and clear I I live in Cairns on The Great Barrier Reef and found some splendid fresh, alive and undamaged coral to the right of a place called Prana Veda. Friendly people, no one nagging you. I eat wherever the locals eat usually, get a scooter use map app and explore

It is great to stay in the north of Bali! Getting around takes time and requires a private driver. Management & Staff was just Wonderful and made all our wishes come true. Very quiet and untouched part of Bali. Beautiful, long, near-secluded, coconut-tree-fringed beaches in Kaliasem, just ten minutes out of the main Lovina strip area. Local, traditional warungs on the beach. A world apart from Canggu, Kuta, Seminyak. It still retains the old Bali charm. Very, very laid back.

The area around Munduk is very hilly so it is good to be...

The area around Munduk is very hilly so it is good to be prepared for this if doing a lot of walking. If you don’t have your own wheels, you are mostly reliant on local transport/drivers,to get to a number of attractions in the area. We enjoyed a visit to the Lakes and the Botanical Gardens which were very peaceful. Walking the 5 local waterfalls from Golden Valley was a highlight, which took us most of the day. Next time I would go on the canoes on Tamblingan Lake. It looked like fun.

It was quiet and peaceful, away from the busy southern parts...

It was quiet and peaceful, away from the busy southern parts of Bali. The downside is it takes 4 hours due to traffic leaving the south and slow moving traffic heading up into the mountains due to winding, narrow roads.
