Everything, starting from the amazing staff, they are so friendly and helpful, spacial thanks to the guys on the bar on the pool (Marcel made a delicious sangria). The room is really nice well decorated and the facilities are really well cleaned. They have free shuttle to the airport and the food at the restaurant that they have is amazing. We had an amazing time and we definitely can recommend this hotel.

The hotel was stunning, staff were super friendly and helpful, and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable. I would 100% recommend staying at this hotel. It was conveniently close to the airport (with free transfer!) and only a short grab ride away from the main strip. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back!

Hidden gem in Maumere; the bungalows are facing the sea, food is great. Claudia, the host, is very helpful and friendly; she’ll take you diving/snorkeling instructor great spots. And you can enjoy amazing sunsets from the property. I definitely recommend spending as much time as you can at Happy dive retreat!

Can't fault this place. We stayed here for two nights before our boat trip to Komodo. Hotel is beautiful, spotless, rooms are spacious and the bed is so comfy. The staff are amazing - kept in touch with us all day when our flight to Labuan bajo was delayed, and had our breakfast pre ordered and ready for us the day we left. Rooftop bar and pool is beautiful and lovely way to spend the day before an excursion. Highly recommend!! (Coffee is also great)

    Stayed 1 night in the Seaview room, which is very big and comfortable! Very nice, modern bathroom and comfortable bed. This room has a great terrace with nice seats and a beautiful view over the sea, islands and all the boats. We stayed here after our Komodo 3 night boat trip, and found it the perfect hotel after this because it's so big and comfortable! Also very friendly owner!

    The resort is superb. The staff are super friendly and helpful in all aspects. The location of the room overlooking the ocean with personal loungers on the beach h in front is superb. The dive centre on site is professionally run with good equipment and dive masters. A night or two is not long enough I would suggest three plus nights to calm down and enjoy the resort facilities.

    Great central location, lots of options in the breakfast buffet. They are close to the call for prayer tower, we stayed one night on the third floor and could hear it quite easily so if that bothers you wear earplugs. Otherwise the lower levels it’s not so bad

    This is my first time to Labuan Bajo and I enjoyed very much at Padar Island to see the panoramic view. Beautiful crystal clear water at several islands. Also very interesting visiting the Komodo National Park to see the Komodo dragons.

    A very dirty, busy city.

    A very dirty, busy city. Easy to be run over and huge holes in the sidewalks. Best not to stay here. There are no restaurants. To see the Spiderweb Rice fields it is best (if traveling by car) to just stop there on your way through (takes maybe 1/2 hour) and continue on

    Great place worth viewing, I would recommend taking a picnic up there so you can spend more time there and have lunch they are plenty of different spots to wonder around l. The forest is beautiful which is something you don't really see when walking through in the dark for sunrise.

    A very vibrant and busy town, as a white family we attracted a lot of attention, not always good. Uncomfortable walking around the town. We used taxis to move around the town. If I was traveling by myself I would have used public transportation, the bemos look fun!

    I went island hopping and snorkeling at a couple of small islands near Maumere. The underwater scenery was beautiful. Healthy corals and schools of fish. Maumere is a Catholic city. There's a big Jesus and Mother Mary statue. The traditional market is also interesting as you can find local woven fabric.

    Nice, small, authentic village. Extremely friendly people. Good food, big portions. Scenery along the coast is mindblowing. Streets are in good condition or new, with few exceptions. Good for daytrips along the coast or traveling from town to town. Good connections to/from Bajawa by shared transport (100kIDR per person for one direction). Expect 150kIDR for long distance hops Labuan Bajo - Ruteng - Bajawa - Ende (3,5h each).

    Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.

    SO many incredible things to do in and around the area. The people were so kind and we did our PADI open water course with Dive Tribe Komodo. We did a day trip of the islands around and that was fantastic.

    Higly recommended to everyone who wants to really enjoy the Ruteng and surrounding area, Waerebo village included (you can get there by motorbike). Ino and his family are awesome people, willing to help you with everything you need or want. You really become the member of the family. I would definitely come back if I visit Flores again. Breakfasts are so delicious and different every day (Im vegan and they prepared special meal for me, but I felt like a queen), beds are so comfy, they have hot shower, you can chill out at the garden or in the shed where you can also cook by yourself. They will give you valuable information and recommendations on places you should visit.. and there is much more. In the end, we are speechless, this stay exceeded our expectations.
