- From US$969.04 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 300 reviewsWe had five nights here for our honeymoon and Viceroy Bali was nothing short of exceptional. Our deluxe villa was heavenly and the resort itself was absolutely stunning, with beautiful thatched villas, infinity pools, and beautiful breezy bar and restaurant areas, all overlooking the jungle. Breakfast and dinner and Cascades was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of having cocktails in Pinstripe bar and dinner at Apertif restaurant, which was simply the most amazing fine dining experience we have ever had. Above all though, what makes this place truly special are the incredible staff. So friendly, always happy to have a chat and show you around, and to go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for an unforgettable stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, we feel so lucky to have spent our honeymoon here and they really made it special. Book it, you will not be disappointed.Guest review byLaurenAustralia
- From US$234.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 654 reviewsThis hotel had one of the best service I've received. The front desk managers were really nice, attentive, and helpful. Breakfast with great! My mom and I did a floating breakfast with extra fee and it was such an amazing experience! I also requested for my breakfast to be packed for one of the mornings because I was leaving at 4am for a tour and the kitchen staff prepared a packed breakfast for me. I would definitely go back.Guest review bySeraUnited States
- From US$485.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 632 reviewsIt was one of the greatest stay of our trip. I was a bit worried about the noises from the valley or jungle as I am a light sleeper, but it turns out no problem at all. The jungle and overall setup of the resort made us feel very relaxed and we both slept very well in the three nights there. I love the staffs smile and always taking care of you, still leave us with very comfortable space.Guest review byJingChina

The peaceful Ubud of old has gone, and the artistic centre...
The peaceful Ubud of old has gone, and the artistic centre of Bali, is but a memory!! Regrettably, the Seminyak/Canggu crowd have discovered it, and traffic is terrible, with Jalan Monkey Forest a wall of cars and motorbikes in the evenings. The corner of Jalan Monkey Forest and Jalan Rays rivals the Ginza in Tokyo for crowds!! The main roads from the south, and to Tegalalang, are frequently car parks, with no movement for extended periods. The early morning market along Jln Raya, opposite the palace, is worth a visit, but it's all gone by about 0900, so be early. Restaurants are plentiful, generally good, although I haven't eaten at them all, and probably the best area for concenrated restaurants, is Jln Goutama, also known as Eat Street. I go there for nostalgic reasons, having first visited in 1979, but nowadays stay only one night enroute north coast to Kuta via Kintamani. I do recommend Fair Warung Bale, #6 Jln Sri Wedari, a five minute walk from the palace, as a place to eat. The food is good, great staff, and the reason for their being is that all profits go to providing medical services to the poor!! I eat there at least once every visit.Guest review byRoss MAustralia - 10

It's a lovely area much quieter than Ubud but still lots of cafes etc. The Instagrammers taking selfies is a bit over the top...but they're everywhere. Great views of the rice terraces and beautiful waterfalls and temples in the area.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 4.0
The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver.
The beautiful areas of Sukawati require a car/driver. We went to the art market which was nice, but you could get this art anywhere in Bali for the same price. I hadn't been before and wouldn't stay here again, it's a bit 'commercial' and not tailored to tourists. The villas we stayed in were beautiful, quiet and off the main street, but there was nothing to do (other than get a driver).Guest review byHeatherAustralia - 6.0

Beautiful sea view, near to sanur, denpasar, and ubud, but beach has plastic and wooden trash. During rainy season, moths come out every where outside and inside villa. Kitchen is separate from the villa, overall, villa needs upgrade.Guest review byHalim HusinIndonesia - 10

From the moment I arrived l felt very welcomed by the owners & staff who made me feel like part of the family knowing l was travelling alone. My villa had a private garden & verandah with my own pond with fish & a waterfall. Such a peaceful & beautifully spacious room serviced daily. The organic food & drinks were delicious & the house frozen margarita became a daily treat for me. Prices were so inexpensive so l could indulge. The staff are always smiling & laughing as this boutique resort is a place they love to be also . The views are breathtaking & the peace it brought me filled my heart with such joy. I highly recommend this to any traveller .Guest review byDianneAustralia - 10
Ubud has serious traffic congestion and crossing the road...
Ubud has serious traffic congestion and crossing the road becomes a practiced art. Pavements are a real problem as they are narrow and badly broken up, tripping hazards are commonplace. The roadside kerbing is much higher than normal so for anyone struggling with any type of walking disability, beware. Basically there are just too many tourists and day trippers which makes for even more traffic and crowding. Feels like I should have come here 25 years ago and would have found a completely different vibe. Taxi journey to and from the airport took two and a half hours through stop-start heavy traffic and a million scooters.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
