- From $265.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,174 reviewsGet ready for some serious honest review. I usually never really give reviews in detail but this resort deserves my time to write this. Our stay at Patal Kikian Villas was truly beyond expectations from the moment we arrived until the day we checked out. We were warmly welcomed & even received a complimentary upgrade to a private pool villa, which was absolutely amazing. The villa offers a direct, unobstructed view of Bali’s tallest and most majestic volcano, Mount Agung. A truly breathtaking sight that left us speechless! The atmosphere throughout the property is incredibly serene. We found ourselves perfectly content simply relaxing in our villa, whether lounging in the living room or enjoying the private pool, both of which face the stunning Mount Agung. It was so peaceful & beautiful that we barely felt the need to leave. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately the resort was fully booked :( The staff were genuinely friendly & attentive, adding a personal & welcoming touch to our experience. The food from on-site restaurant was consistently delicious, with a great variety to choose from, so much so that we happily dined there for every meal. Every time we went for dinner, we were pleasantly surprised to return & find our room had been tidied up again, which was such a thoughtful detail! We also appreciated the complimentary local appetizers served at the start of each meal, a lovely way to experience more of Balinese flavors. Breakfast was equally satisfying, with generous selections to start the day right. We were also treated to a complimentary 15-minute foot massage during our stay, which added a relaxing touch. The bed was beautifully decorated in a way we had never seen before! And the pillows are so comfy! Overall, this was a superb and memorable experience :) We will definitely return to Patal Kikian Villas every time we visit Bali. Highly recommended!Guest review byMarliana ErlyQatar
- From $216.99 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 230 reviewsKatut the property manager met us upon arrival to give an overview of the property and hand over the room keys. Each villa had a lock and key associated with it. Each villa had an open air bathroom and shower which was beautiful and an A/C unit inside. Free kayaks were available to use which we paddled over to another bay for some amazing snorkeling. There is also decent snorkeling right off the beach in front of the property. Breakfast was served every morning with fresh fruit, eggs, toast and pancakes. Katut was able to arrange poolside messages which was a wonderful experience. We had our own private pool and loungers. This is a beautiful and unique property, especially if you're looking for some deep relaxation and romantic spot with some isolation. We ate at the Galang restaurant across the street which was good and got food delivered most other nights.Guest review bySarahUnited States
- From $121.45 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 540 reviewsEverything was immaculate! The rooms were gorgeous overlooking the lake, I’ve stayed in a lot of resorts but I have to say this one is one of the top on my list! The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The palm reading experience with Wayan was beautiful and to know that he’s the owner of the resort, hats off to him, he’s done such a brilliant job. What I loved about this property is that I wasn’t locked in my room I could wander around anywhere and sit and just watch the beautiful nature this property is enclosed in. 100% recommend! They’re also certified, so their hygiene is lovely.Guest review byPriyankaIndia
- From $188.66 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 328 reviewsLipah Beach is such a great quiet town. The atmosphere at Hidden Paradise is just as laid back and welcoming as the town. Their restaurant on the beach always has a delightful breeze blowing. In addition to the dining area there are couches and a relaxing area too just to enjoy drinks, read a book, or talk with guests. Haven't even talked about the snorkeling yet which is just directly out in the surf behind HP. Plus, they have a shady spot on the beach thanks to a large tree. The food is excellent too. Many choices and covers a wide variety of tastes and cuisines.Guest review byBCusaUnited States
- From $81.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 475 reviewsThe hotel is superb, especially its location directly on Lipah Beach, where you can see corals and many beautiful fish. The hotel is very clean compared to others I have been to in Amed. The room is spacious, the bathroom is also big. The towels were changed once every 2-3 days, We stayed 6 days and they changed the towels twice, which is a big plus for them.Guest review bySandutaMoldova

Loved Amed but was only there for 2 nights, would definately go back for longer. Beautiful people and amazing local food. Great spot if you dont want the hussle and bussle of Kuta/Seminyak or Legian. The black beach was gorgeous and the sunsets were amazing, Great place for divers/snorkelling and fishing.Guest review byJUDYAustralia - 10

We only stayed a late afternoon and night while making our way to the North of Bali. There are a few tours that you can do, and I plan on coming back next year for 3 nights instead. It’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from buzz of city life whether it’s in the south or back home in a large city.Guest review bycarlyUnited States - 8.0
Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old.
Padangbai took me back in time to the Bali of old. Its quite rustic and primitive looking in parts. Most of the restaurants are quite old. We only ate at our hotel OK Divers Resort, where the restaurant and food was very good. NIce place to visit but only a couple of days at most.Guest review byJanAustralia - 8.0
I have been travelling around Bali for some time and I have...
I have been travelling around Bali for some time and I have come to a conclusion. Bali is about Earth Energy and there are 4 elements in which it excels. Central Bali, Ubud and heading North for Jungle Energy....intense and slightly chaotic. The Peninsula for expansive Ocean Energy, connecting you to something bigger, and Rock Energy...grounding, stabilising. Then you have Candidasa. Candidasa is the Energy of the Hills, the Green Healing Hills. Take your bike off the main road and you will be driving closer and closer to the foot, then keep driving, up and up, for absolutely breath taking views of dense greenery with traditional structures scattered in the distance. Breathtaking.Guest review byellisUnited Kingdom - 10
A perfect place to dive and learn diving
A perfect place to dive and learn diving Tulamben is a peaceful little town and an amazing spot for both scuba diving and freediving. The water is calm, visibility is great, and marine life is rich, from colourful coral to bumphead parrotfish. The famous USAT Liberty wreck is a must-see, accessible right from shore. It’s also a great place to learn diving – many friendly, professional instructors and dive centres around. Whether you're a beginner or ean xperienced diver, you'll love it here. Highly recommended for ocean lovers!Guest review byRuiAustralia - 10

An off beat location, which is actually peaceful and great for nature lovers, adventure seekers and history lovers. It is close to the mother temple of Bali (15 minutes), Blue lagoon diving and Snorkeling, p Pura Tirta and the most amazing rafting site. So a 3-night stay at this place is ideal to cover east Bali and then you can go to Ubud.Guest review bySachinUnited Arab Emirates - 10

Seraya is definitely a place to recommend. If you are looking for authenticity, pristine beaches (Virgin beach), local culture (Lempuyang Temple, Tirta Gangga Water Palace & Local Coffee Farm, etc.), you will definitely love the place!Guest review byCatherineSingapore - 4.0

It's a surfers paradise but not for us old couples. The place will be very nice if the owner take time to make it clean like clean sheets, new mattress with on bed bugs. The bathroom and toilets spruced up. Nothing much to see there except to surf and relax.Guest review byBarlow - 8.0
We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven.
We stayed just one night to visit the Gates of Heaven. I feel is enough to see the surroundings and have a feel of the place. We found the tickets a bit expensive. I mean is a nice place but not to pay 10$. You can see Tirtagangga in 20 minutes, depending on whether you are an instagramer and you take selfies in every corner, then you can stay there for over an hour, although is very difficult to take good selfies as there are people everywhere. Around the entrance, there are a few restaurants and shops. But please I would say to the owners or whoever takes care of this place, tell people not to feed the fish. They are huge! and it's because the shops nearby sell food so you can take a picture with the fish.Guest review byRocioAustralia - 10

Amed was lovely, found some great eating places that were really reasonable. Gusto, Galangal, Warranga Amed with live music and fabulous hosts, Sunset view restaurant )the lower key more traditional one) the other Sunset view was too upmarket and commercialised. We loved riding around on the scooters and felt it was quiet enough to feel safe. Really enjoyed getting up into the hills from there to see the rural lifestyles.Guest review byKathrynAustralia
