Well located between port and airport the property is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. The price is very low for the quality provided, and the host Anita was welcoming and friendly and even woke up at 6am when we left to make sure everything was ok and that we were able to find a ride to the airport. Would definitely recommend

Nyande is not a homestay, it's a resort. Esni and Andy knew exactly what their customers needed and prepared everything. Employees also treat customers with a very good attitude. During my stay in Nyande, I could enjoy delicious food, cool beer, and ice every day. When I go on an island trip, Esni is the best guide in R4. She explain all spot include of current. Yos and Salmon always ensured safe ship driving. I swear, they are the best team in R4. I'd like to thank you again to the staff of the kitchen, including Esni, Andy, Yos, Salmon, Judy. (Sorry I forgot their names.) I was lucky enough to stay in Nyande. If I go to R4 again, I will be the first to check if they have a vacancy in Nyande.

Hosted by Mama Julia and Kk Mothy, we had an incredible experience at shady homestay for two days. Arrived on Tuesday afternoon, Julia and Mothy picked us up at Waisai. Storm was raging but they prepared everything so our big bags were not wet. Even though waves were very high, Timothy mastered ocean and found our way through the waves. We were then welcomed by the rest of the family with a delicious tea time and snorkeled in front of the homestay, lost in the small satellite islands around Gam island. The place is peaceful, quiet, and extremely beautiful in the middle of nowhere in the Raja Ampat : a Lunar experience. On Wednesday, Timothy and Julia organized us a fabulous daytrip around Gam Island between Sawingrai village, light water, labyrinth mangroves, magical reefs, caves, view points, snorkelings, painted hands geopark famous site, hidden bays, beach walk, coconut… everything was perfect and made very friendly and warm welcoming by Julia, and very fun with Timothy’s talents to drive the boat as a sports car driver in tight ways and hard turnovers ! We left on Thursday after another little trip with Timothy for a batcave and snorkeling morning. We saw everything with them : lots of reef fishes and bigger fishes, manta, dolphins, blacktop sharks, turtles … and even the rarest and endemic Wobbegong shark. What made the experience different and fantastic is the kindness of this whole family working together and making everything seem effortless and great even though it could be hard work for them. Shady Homestay is THE PLACE TO BE for visiting Gam island with the fun experience on board with Timothy and the warm welcome and comfort of the delicious food provided by Julia and their family. THANK YOU SO MUCH. We will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay with Mr. Jems, Mrs. Donna and their family. The houses are set right on a stunning, quiet white-sand beach, close to a charming village with happy children and friendly people all around. The hosts are incredibly welcoming, serving excellent home-cooked Indonesian meals, even fresh-caught fish grilled over a BBQ for lunch, and delicious cakes at coffee time. The coral reef just in front of the houses is vibrant and full of marine life, and the beach is always kept spotless. The entire family helps run the homestay, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests can enjoy captivating live music played on handmade instruments and take part in thoughtfully organized day trips for birdwatching, waterfall hikes, and more—all with pristine rainforest just steps from their doorstep.
