- From US$345.40 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 512 reviewsThe dome was better in person than the photos. In many ways, it exceeded our expectations. We had a king size accommodating four guests. The children loved staying in the loft beds. It had an ample kitchen with a stove top pans, kettle, and coffee maker. We cooked a lovely steak dinner in situ. There was a nice welcome treat, fresh towels, and robes. The hot tube was hot and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Although we didn't see the northern lights, we still thougherly enjoyed our stay. We would absolutely love to stay again. Thank you for an amazing night.Guest review byElaineIreland
- From US$197.67 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 2,795 reviewsWe really loved it here! So much love for all the details has been shown by the staff. The staff is friendly (reception, breakfast, restaurant - they are all doing perfect work!) The hot tub is cozy, warm and we really enjoyed the sauna, too! Our room has been extraordinarily spacious and the bed was really comfortable! The hotel had everything we needed - BIG PLUS: If you need recommandations regarding tours: The staff will be happy to help you- nothing to complain about!Guest review byNadineGermany
- From US$258.55 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,680 reviewsThe highlight is the garage; left the car there and did not need it again until departure. The room was exceptionally clean and well designed with decent space for luggage. Check-in online worked well; still receptionist was super friendly and facilitated our stay (early garage access; luggage storage option, etc.). Breakfast was very good with everything we wanted.Guest review byRobert A. KroenerGermany

The rooms are spotless and spacious and the breakfast is simple but good quality, price is reasonable in Icelandic comparison - highly recommended.Guest review byLeventeHungary

Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink.
Iceland is an expensive place to eat and drink. We had breakfast included in our room rate each day so saved quite a few dollars. We had a rental car, the hotel had no parking. We soon worked out where to park the car near the hotel overnight for free. Parking is strictly enforced in Iceland. We used supermarkets to buy or make our lunches and dinners where we spent out in restaurants (not cheap). The cheapest place to eat is Ikea - you need a car to get there unless public transport by bus can be worked out. Snorkelling between the tectonic plates was the best. Hot pools in Laugarvatn Fontana Geothermal Baths was excellent and not expensive (take a towel from the hotel). Blue Lagoon is over rated and too expensive.Guest review byMark from NZNew Zealand - 8.0

Hafnarfjorthur was between Keflavic and Reykjavik making it quite handy and more affordable to stay at. We rented a car to tour the Golden Circle, enjoy the Blue Lagoon, and sightsee in Reykjavik and felt that was a good choice. We didn't sightsee in Hafnarfjorthur.Guest review byLynetteUnited States - 8.0

Great location if you are looking for accommodation as part of planning to do the Golden Circle. Circa 40-45 minute drive to Thinvellir. Grocery store nearby (sells good quality sushi) however only a few eating out options.Guest review byKarmaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

ive already answered these questions twice. we paid for a superior room and got one. Neighborhood is out of the way but has great views and animals and is near the road to Costco. we spent 2 weeks driving the entire island and enjoyed it. This place has a theme tastefully done and modern amenities. The Viking Hotel restaurant where you check -in has a nice themed restaurant good food and service.Guest review bysandraUnited States - 10.0

This is a place of unique, rugged beauty. The resort has wonderful accommodations to fit the needs of 2 people or a large group. The spa and bistro are just right for a group that wishes to enjoy the hot springs and enjoy a light meal together.Guest review byMichaelUnited States - 10.0

This is one of ,,those,, accommodations where you want to spend the night after a week full of traveling. It is clear that the owner has a sense of detail and quality. You can feel the quality on the materials and furnishings, the equipment of the entire apartment and the services that are here. Everything is still new, clean. Situated in a quiet location. We slept very well! Parking in front of the entrance, Accessibility anywhere is perfect. Since it is new here, the accommodation does not have any review and even though I usually do not write reviews, I think this one deserves one. For the price, it is exclusive accommodation and we will definitely come back here.Guest review byDaniel K.Slovakia - 8.0
People are very relaxed, helpfull and very pleasent.
People are very relaxed, helpfull and very pleasent. The city is not large, can be walked accross. We had not much time for excursions, 'couse it was a business trip, we tried to see the aurora, but no luck )-:. Also visited the Blue Lagoon, nice experience. In all, it is a nice place to visit, but too expensive for my taste.Guest review byAnonymousSerbia - 10.0

We are use to very large rooms with kitchens in our hotel room. While we vacationed in Iceland we stayed at VRBO’s but we saw this unique hotel and had to stay here and experience it! Loved walking around the hotel and the use of hot tub and sauna !!!Guest review byronnieUnited States - 10.0

Hlid Fisherman's Village had lots of "viking" character with some very interesting maritime realia, close proximity to Icelandic horses, heritage chickens, a koi pond, cedar sauna and two rooftop hot tubs. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and the view was to the sea.Guest review byMarciaUnited States
