- From $186.51 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 1,512 reviewsFirst of all wow the cottages were super cozy with floor warming. (I love that). Everything was nice and clean and the beds were comfy. There's not much else I can say about it no negative things. And then the main building wow. We were greeted by super enthusiastic staff and they were so friendly. They asked us about our vacation and our plans. And they even gave some good recommendations. Also when my friend her snow boots got torn up in the front and in the back they had DUCKTAPE :D. So she could fix it. Ducktape fixes anything. And you could pet the cows :D. Also a good recommender is the breakfast boi was it Tasty and most of the products were produced locallyGuest review byMareynNetherlands

Breakfast is amazing . Staff is amazing . We rented 2 bedroom chalet and it was perfect for our family . Our kids enjoyed the hot tub . Location is amazing and mesmerizing . The first night of our stay it was a bit hot ,request the owner to hve a fan . However the weather was perfect the second night so didn’t face the problem again . No midges at all , so we got lucky staying by Mývatn lake . Would come back for sure . Highly recommended for familiesGuest review byRahulUnited Arab Emirates

We visited all the famous sites
We visited all the famous sites The Thermal baths was great. A big area (and currently expanding). The restaurant there was very reasonably priced for Iceland. They made a great coffee. Food was good. Went to the geothermal site which was pretty amazing. We hiked up Hverfjall, theextinct volcano which was interesting. Went to Dentifoss and Selfoss which were very impressive We enjoyed our stay. Well worth a visitGuest review byLawsonAustralia - 10.0

I’m 2/3 of circumnavigating Iceland, and I have to say that this area is the weirdest landscape yet—in a good way. In a small area there are extinct volcanoes, steaming hillsides, lakes with strange lava 'islands', ethereal mountains…….. so strange. So beautiful. Highly recommended.Guest review byThorCanada - 10.0

Spent a day and a half in the Lake Mývatn area. Loved it.
Spent a day and a half in the Lake Mývatn area. Loved it. There is so much to see and do: crater hikes, thermal baths, geothermal areas, bird watching, lava features. And just overall, it has beautiful views of farms and countryside. Both relaxing and exciting. Could easily spent another couple of days without it feeling repetitive.Guest review byMarkUnited States - 8.0
Nice getaway - quiet and cozy athmosphere.
Nice getaway - quiet and cozy athmosphere. Close to the main attractions at Myvatn. Great breakfast buffet. Restaurant offers little choices but what they have is good and homemade (f.ex lamb and trouts are home-breed).Guest review byAllanDenmark
