This hotel/experience could not have been better. The attention to detail was unmatched. Beautiful/large room with spectacular views. It was everything we had hoped for and more. This hotel is a hidden home away from home. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm smiles and a genuine feeling of being part of the family. The staff's dedication to creating a welcoming and comfortable experience shines through in everything they do. Everything is always so clean. They pour their hearts into caring for the estate and ensuring every guest feels pampered (not in an overbearing way, but more like visiting your cool aunt and uncle’s home). The restaurant serves up fresh, flavorful dishes made with love and ingredients straight from their own garden. It's the perfect place to relax, unwind, and experience true hospitality without feeling you’re in a temporary stay.

This is one of the most beautiful agriturismos in Tuscany! The property is amazingly beautiful, and your hosts, Jamal and Samira, will make you feel like family. This is our second trip to the Villa, and it is nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend adding the dinners to your stay, as they use regional, fresh, local cuisine. Our trips to Italy will always include a stay at the Villa.

Cortona is a great location for day tripping all that Tuscany( Montepulciano, Assisi, Arezzo, Pienza, Sienna) has to offer. Parking can be a challenge, but the town itself is delight with many terrific resturants(La Bucaccia & Antica Trattoria) that cater to vistors. I could spend a month living in Cortona.

Stia is a small, authentic town, an hour's drive from Florence. It has some really nice restaurants, such as the Kaymà restaurant in Hotel Via Roma 33, or L'Ospitale Dei Brilli, where we ate several times. Book a table in advance, as you'll miss out otherwise. There's a nice park with a small waterfall within walking distance, a large COOP supermarket, and a fresh bakery for everything delicious. There are few shops, but nearby towns offer some. From Stia, you can also plan hiking trips or other outdoor activities.

The historic center of Poppi is a small part of the larger total, but it's interesting, walkable and scenic. We found Google Maps to be very effective getting us to the historic center, but useless getting us to Albergo San Lorenzo. A phone call was required, and the nice clerk cheerfully guided us in real time, out of the center, around the side and directly to the hotel parking lot. It was very close to our "lost" position, but one-way streets had defeated Google Maps and our own efforts. On a Sunday afternoon little was open for a meal but we discovered a cafe directly in front of the Castle and got a good sandwich. The views from there are great.

Anghiari is steeped in history its walls and narrow streets suddenly open to expansive vistas. Places to eat and drink are plentiful with a high standard of food and service for a relatively 'off the beaten track' settlement - food far better than Venice! There are many hill top towns/villages to visit - Poppi and Caprese Michaelangelo are stand out. Anghiari and its environs has plenty to offer for a 3/4 night stay.

We loved Arezzo so much we decided to buy a home and retire here! City has it all - train directly into town, flat walkable and pedestrian friendly city with more delicious restaurants than one could ever try in a lifetime. Nice park with a view and amenities adjacent to Duomo and plenty of shopping - this is a city where people live and tourists tend to visit on famous Antique Market weekend so you get a sense of what it's like to actually live in an Italian town - hours of operation for shops and restaurants are Italian vs tourist, people are friendly and it's a safe city without the stress of pick pockets or crowds - most people miss Arezzo; don't be one of them!

Amazing medieval city with beautiful architecture and a great atmosphere. We were there on the main holiday weekend of the year and it was very crowded. There was a food festival in the park, a photographic exhibition in various sites around the city and a band playing in the Teatro Piazza in the evening. The many churches are beautiful and there are restaurants to suit everybody - from gourmet to burgers. Never a dull moment for two days. Unfortunately it is not suitable for people with mobility problems because of the steep hills and cobbled streets.

It is compact. Not Hilly. Has the Pieros to view. Lovely churches. Good restaurants and with a car the perfect base to set out from to explore the Tiber valley and the Val d'Arno. Been going there for some 50 years. Just get the maps and start discovering lost castles and churches and glorious scenery.
