I stayed in Della Fortezza for 10 days while I was taking a ceramics course with local ceramist Mara Funghi. My stay was an absolute dream from the breathtaking views from every window of the room, great food both in breakfast and for fine dining and truly the sweetest staff. The place really started to feel like home and I am so grateful for the experience 🙏

We really like this family run hotel with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Every time we stay there, we feel like not just guests, but part of the family, like at home. The staff is very kind and helpful. The hotel is immersed in a flowering garden, and the balconies offer stunning views of the pine trees, the soft hills of Tuscany and the sea. Just delightful! Comfortable bed, modern clean bathroom, the host couldn't have communicated better with this English speaker in an Italian world. The property was in a fabulous location and the recommendations for dining out in the area are just perfect, and if you stay here you get a wee discount on dinner. Wish we could have stayed longer this wee town is fantastic. And only a 6 min drive to the hot water waterfalls the area is well known for.

    Everything . The hotel is really nice and comfortable mattress, the staff very polite, friendly and helpful. We arrived a bit too early and asked for us to check in before 15PM and lucky they have the room straight right way available for us, we feel so happy. The front desk staff that did my check in was very kind and helpful. We have two tiny dogs, which they welcome both with warm smile and this makes me feel home. I love the fact they have a gym and also SPA and salon for nails and a big parking space, amazing Swimpool anda stunning beautiful garden and surrounded by beautiful green. Which I feel happy to stayed and know there have everything we need. We extended the 2 nights to 4 nights which the third I book directly with them because my room was very comfortable and big , which I feel so happy to stayed extra one night before our departure to Rome. I will definitely recommend this hotel as a hotelier as well myself, I appreciated good services and true reviews

    Green territory, modern equipped cabins and nice beach. It was quite cold in May, so we were glad that we could use air conditioner in a heat mode. Wi-fi worked well. Due to mid season check-in and check-out process didn’t take a lot of time. The deposit was paid by card, no cash needed, but there was an ATM just right to reception just in case. Restaurant offers large choices of pizza (and not only pizza) with a take away option.

    Nice welcome in native language by Slovak host :) The location was very good, near the sandy beach. Everything was very close. Nice view to sunset from the terrace. Not many people. We rented a boat and went around the island, it was beautiful.

    The springs were the main draw.

    The springs were the main draw. They were crowded and you should have water shoes to walk over the pebble beds in the water. I didn't like the smell of the sulfur and expected the water to be hotter. I wouldn't go again but it was interesting to see it.

    Absolutely loved Cstiglione della Pescaia, the sandy beaches and refreshing water, Of course nothing compares to our Australian white sandy beaches and pristine waters, this place comes in a close second. Most suitable for families and children as the sea water was calm and shallow.

    The city centre is lovely, less grandious and definitely...

    The city centre is lovely, less grandious and definitely more humble than more famous neighbouring cities, but it has character! The Medicean walls surrounding the centre are the best attraction for sure. Unfortunately the urban design and streamlined roads makes not very easy to navigate outside the city centre. And watch out your car wheels and suspensions, roads are in precarious conditions generally! Maremma is lovely, get in the coutryside, go and visit a vineyard, twisting roads on rolling hills makes the experience unique.

    We loved staying in this bed and breakfast place! It is family owned business and they all do everything they can, above and beyond, so that their guests will feel comfortable and happy. The building was recently renovated and beautiful, the room was big and very comfortable, and the location could not be better! Few minutes from the beach, restaurants, and the promenade. We hope to come again.

    This town is the most dramatically amazing and beautiful place to behold 🤩 I have been many times and it is magical. So special ! You feel it in your heart and the history all around and spectacular views with plenty of space and amazing restaurants and bars .     Orbetello is a sweet town with wonderful shops and cafes and streets to explore. Parking was easy, as we visited in March (off season). We enjoyed walking along the waterfront and eating several meals at Tratorria Marcella e Pasquale in the main piazza. Gorgeous, welcoming hosts and delicious homemade pasta meals and local wine.

    Final remarks on Argentario location overall: in our opinion it’s best visited by boat, so if your expectation is to find long wide sand beaches, they’re not really here. The only alternative is La Feniglia natural reserve, but that implies moving by car hoping to find a parking spot - that is about 10 kms away.

    In Mancino pizzeria charges €5 for sitting at a table to eat your ordered food. This is the first time in my life I've ever experienced such a charge. I understand if there was live music or other activities, but nothing. 🙂

    The restaurant evening meal isn't cheap but on our 1st visit the meal was fabulous, along with the service, which prompted us to book a 2nd night's meal there.... That wasn't so great, just as expensive but we were only able to choose from a much smaller menue, 4 starter dishes, only 2 main dishes, and a choice 3 desserts ! And sadly it wasn't great. However the breakfast was very good with plenty of choices, including tea,coffee and fruit juice on tap. The hotels pool, and pool bar/ coffee shop was fantastic. The room was nice, airy and relatively clean. The only exception being the rooms floor which was never cleaned/moped during our stay, which left us going to bed with dirty feet onto clean sheets. We were on a driving holiday, and parking around the hotel was an issue, however we had booked to park in the hotels underground car park, for the security of our vehicle and it's contents. The downside is the €15 per day charges, which added €75 onto our end bill.

    The hotel overlooks a spectacular valley yet is right in the town. You can walk to any of the restaurants and even the hilltop tower within minutes. If you are exploring the lower Tuscany region (Tarot Garden, Saturnia, etc) this IS your base. Incredible breakfast, very comfortable beds, great staff. When travelling we usually like to try new places, but when we return to Capalbio we will also return to Valle Del Buttero. It is that good. The closest restaurant is a 2 minute walk. L'angolo Di Capalbia was great - obviously a local favorite, and we were pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the cuisine at very reasonable cost.
