    I stayed with husband and kids for 1 night and we were really satisfied with the communication of the staff, place and location. There were no complications due to, I believe, staffwho sent me dozen of messages via email and texzs with detailed info regarding our arrival, what to do if we dont arrive in working hours etc. They provided us with emergency number and when I called they immediately answered and the problem was resolved. The place is actually in a building, typical hotelish look, entrance is by the street, it has small elevator and I think 6 floors. The apartment is gorgeous, very spacious for 1 bedroom, it has all it has to have including clean towels, sheets... I requested kids bed and got it for free - it was all prepared for us already inside. The kids bed is secure and really excellent quality. King bed is really huge. They dont have parking but I booked online covered parking cca 8 mins away from hotel which was no issue cause we prepared to go only with backpacks to hotel. The apartment is suitable for many nights stay so I was kind of sorry to stay just 1 night.

    This hotel is in a great location with some lovely local bars & restaurants in the small square around the corner. The rooms are also a lot nicer than the star rating, although we did pay a bit more for a room with a balcony which I'd also recommend. But excellent facilities and a spacious room with a view of the old arch. Staff, particularly the guy on reception are lovely and very helpful with excellent English. Dream Team Bar (bad name, good bar) on the square at the back has probably the friendliest staff we encountered in any Italian bar! Parking is also secure and nearby.

    Wow, the most exciting vacation. The views are breathtaking. The residential complex is closed and very quiet. Everything was amazing. The host gave detailed instructions on picking up the keys and getting to the parking. With the apartment you get free parking in the garage and beach access with sun beds. The area has a lot of clothes shops but only 2 restaurants and no grocery stores. You can bring your own food or go to the nearby supermarket and cook in the apartment.

    We liked the fact that you could walk to all areas of the city. Architecture was spectacular and city was spotless. The trip to Miramare castle was well worth it. Grounds, interior and views were beautiful.

    Muggia is a small coastal town near Trieste...and it is a very happening town that comes alive at night...where families come together at the central square for ice creams and some good food...I really liked the entire vibe of this town it's very clean and quiet and extremely relaxing...the restaurant has fresh seafood options if you're into seafood and amazing wines and a really good seafront to walk around. i really liked it...calm and relaxing place.

    There is no modern bakery or coffee house in the entire village. We felt that a bit of progress or a more modern atmosphere was missing—perhaps a case of resting on one’s laurels. However, we really enjoyed the nearby fish restaurant, where the staff was very welcoming.

    The town itself - there truly is nothing and there's not really that much of space to go for walks, but everything is so close, that you can just drive everywhere and everything is so easy to reach.

    I wish we had more time to explore the area.

    I wish we had more time to explore the area. We found a cute part of town with an amazing restaurant. We plan on going back to Trieste next year and would stay there again. The only issue we had with the unit was the area is a little run down, and the TV is very old and will not support streaming. Other than that it was perfect for our needs.

    Went on the tourist tram up to Via Stradicana / Napoleonica.

    Went on the tourist tram up to Via Stradicana / Napoleonica. Get off at Obelisk stop not end at Opicina. Tram is a little hairy especially just after the start when they add a second engine; also crowded. There is also the 64 bus right nearby if you think might be queasy. Central Trieste has been thoroughly refurbished during Covid and looks like a set from Studio Ghibli. The old town is buzzing with bars and restaurants. A treasure for James Joyce fans.

    We liked Muggia.

    We liked Muggia. It is small and easy to navigate the old town. The main Piazza has several bars and cafes, friendly and welcoming for a drink or a meal, and fun for people watching. There are more cafes and bars towards the waterfront. Just stroll around and enjoy the relative tranquility. We arrived in Trieste by train, taxi to Muggia was around 35 euros. We took a day trip back to Trieste by ferry (fun in itself), and did lots of walking from Muggia. It's a nice respite from the tourist circuit, and so pretty with stone buildings and small alleyways, plus the castle (exterior) and Duomo to enjoy. Muggia Vecchio, up on the hill behind, was well worth the walk.

    The village itself has not much to offer (in terms of sightseeing), but for me as a base for exploring the karst by bike it was perfect. There are also some restaurants, cafes and pubs - so it is not necessary to drive down to Triest every time. But if necessary, there is a good connection by bus.

    An interesting town on the cross-roads of European...

    An interesting town on the cross-roads of European civilisations, with a special resonance today. My wife and I are well travelled. We did not visit any of the sites you mentioned.. But we enjoyed the general atmosphere.
