I need to rave abut this hotel. Firstly, i had arrived onto miyajima island really late due to some confusion in kyoto. I had informed the staff that I was delayed and was likely to only arrive after 9pm. They told me to call the hotel so that they can send the shuttle over but once i arrived, i saw that the shuttle was already waiting for me! And I was delayed from the time I told them I would arrive so they must have waited longer than expected. Once I got to the hotel, as they knew to expected me, check in was super quick. Hotel was beautiful and the single rooms were really cute (though small in the way japanese rooms usually are). Location of the hotel also cannot be beat it is right in the middle of all the attractions, and the staff were knowledgeable about the opening hours of attractions. Just when i thought it could not get better, when i told the hotel I was trying to catch a particular ferry timing back to hiroshima, they rushed me to the terminal and i managed to make the ferry! The team went above and beyond to make this solo traveller comfortable and safe. Thank you so much! :)

The view from my sea-facing room...gorgeous! Clean spacious room with all the generous amenities. I love the hotel onsen...clean and not crowded at all during the separate day/time I visited. The shuttle bus provided is definitely helpful. Tho Aki Grand Hotel is definitely far from Hiroshima major sightseeing spots, it's perfect for Miyajima daytrip.

The host was exceptionally nice to us. The breakfast was very good, and the complimentary local beers were a really nice touch. Having the entire space to ourselves was good too.

Shinko and Teppei were the kindest hosts ever! They showed how to properly dress yukatas and many other nice moments together. Teppei also suggested the places we should visit in this unique island. Dinner and breakfast were great!

Excellent hotel with lovely owners, very kind. The room are beautiful, old Japanese style. It’s very cool and the location perfect. Highly recommended to stay there
