- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,230 reviewsAMAZING experience. If you have kids, don't hesitate or do more research, trust me and just book it. The staff were unreal. Japanese customer service is generally incredible and the staff at Seaside were the best we experienced. Always offering to take us to town on shuttle (5 min drive), gift store had just closed but they were happy to open it up again for us, and generally just always being helpful. Lots of fun things for kids to do too - onsen, ping pong, karaoke room, soccer net outside, pine cone games, etc. I can not recommend this place enough. The food was also great, fun experience to do this in the room. The desserts were especially delicious, the best we had in Japan. I will be back someday, Miyajima is amazing and Seaside Resort was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.Guest review byMattCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,640 reviewsEverything. The hotel is on the hill and approx. 20 minutes by foot from the ferry but the property provides a shuttle. 7 minutes away from Itsukushima-jinja. If you want to explore the island more after the check-out you could store your luggage and take a shuttle later that day. Clean and neat. Welcoming staff, most of them have good English. Nice colourful yukatas to select from and a hanten. Tasty traditional breakfast with an instruction on how to eat it. Comfortable bed in a classic room.Guest review byAnnaIreland

The staff is super attentive and very friendly. The onsen is great with one outside overlooking the O-Torii. Super recommended, if you plan to visit Miyajima be sure to book at least one night in this Hotel, you will never regret it. My congratulations to all the hotel staff. I fell in love with everything!!!Guest review byGuillermoArgentina
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 444 reviewsVery friendly and helpful staff from check-in and every meal service. Large quiet traditional tatami rooms. Wonderful private baths that are a must try. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, rivalling ryokans that are twice the price. Definitely recommend going for a stroll after dinner to see the sights at night.Guest review byRickeyCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,226 reviewsWe stayed at a separate room which is not inside the main building. The room was spacious and had a private shower and bathroom. The main building of the guest house is very cosy and welcoming and the free dinner and breakfast are a great bonus. The washing machine and dryer were very fast and efficient.Guest review byRayaIsrael

The main reasson to visit was the Itsukushima Shrine but there was plenty of other shrines and temples to visit. The ropeway to Mt, Misen was great. The hike down not so much (not a trail, mainly steps - hard on the knees.Guest review byDeanUnited States - 10.0

Miyajima was great for walking around and doing the ropeway to the top. A lot of little eateries and street food- good if you like seafood. Scenic with the giant Tori gate and shrines, woods, deer walking around. Miyajima was one of my favorite spots on our trip to Japan.Guest review byMarciaUnited States - 10.0

It does get busy during the day when lots of tourists come over by ferry for the day however we hired bikes and managed to stay clear of the crowds for the most part. The Island becomes very quite in the evening which is perfect, I would advise that you book a restaurant as lots of the island closes around 5-6pm so anything that is open later gets booked up. We were very lucky to just get the last free table on two occasions. Also the deer wandering around especially in the dusk and evening before al the ferries drop off are enchanting, however they are not like the deer in Nara park and there are lots of signs that remind people not to feed or bother the deer, not everyone follows these rules which is disappointing.Guest review byDonnaUnited Kingdom
