We stayed in a room with the private onsen which offered a superb view of Toya lake and mount Yotei, which was an amazing experience. The room was 56 meters square, which was very comfortable. 2. We inform the hotel aboud our honey moon, they were so thoughtful in preparing the cute souvenir. They also took a photo of us, framed it, and later hang on our room door. 3. The fireworks were great, which we can enjoy from the room and also just in front of the hotel. 4. The hotel provided rental bicycle, we did cycling around the lake, super nice time. 5. Staying here in the time of full bloom cherry blossom is another level! 6. The breakfast and dinner buffet were amazing, lots of food and mouth-watering!Guest review byGahnJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,008 reviewsWe really enjoyed our stay at the Manseikaku, our room was very nice + spacious but what we loved the most was the lake view from our window all the way To Mt.Yotei and the nightly fireworks. The Hugh buffet breakfast spread was fantastic and the onsen was very nice, we made use of the foot bath in the front garden after walking all day which was relaxing. Staff were very friendly and speak English very well.Guest review byDeanAustralia
- From US$93.81 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.4Good - What previous guests thought, 624 reviewsA bit oldy but after the corona world war and the tourism industry crash, if the hotel is still here, it means they work well, whatever the installation. Everything is about pricing, nowadays a ryokan in Japan is to be paid by the minute, as it is so so crazy highly priced. So this one was honest pricing and telling bad things would be bad indeed.Guest review byJmwenekyFrance

Location is great as we like less traffic. A little distance from central area but also closer to the ropeway which was amazing view.Guest review byRieCanada

Very beautiful and quaint little town.
Very beautiful and quaint little town. Loved the hot foot and hand spas for the public. Views of the lake were amazing and the onsen with the cost of our room was worth it. Better to stay since it is much more beautiful than at Rusutsu Resort area and not that far to go snowboarding.Guest review byKenUnited States - 10.0
Lake Toya is a special Jewel of a retreat in Japan.
Lake Toya is a special Jewel of a retreat in Japan. It is well known but many people have never been as its slightly more difficult to get to then other Onsen. The natural beauty of the lake is breathtaking and well worth the visit, it is a small town by comparison so not so much for shopping/nightlife etc. Your going to sit and watch the sunset and soak for a long time in Onsen or tubs. Also many of the Onsen seem to be of very high quality so pick what fits budget/needs best and I bet you will have a spectacular time.Guest review byLeifUnited States - 8.0

We enjoyed the Ususzan Ropeway, Volcano Museum in town and driving around the countryside to Niseko, Otaru (great canal and Railway Museum), and the National Ainu Museum at Upupoy. Beautiful lake views and fireworks each night.Guest review byAnneAustralia
