From breakfast to dinner, the food was phenomenal. Plenty of variety to choose from, especially for kids. Similarly, the pools are a must if you are travelling with youngsters. Great waterslides which are a fantastic addition. Great hotel service, starting from Joan at the reception desk to Louis who helped us extend our stay. Indeed, it is a hotel to visit again, due to the infectious Kenyan energy and the great PrideInn touch.

    I had a fantastic stay at Reef Hotel in Nyali. The staff were warm and attentive, and they went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special with a decorated room, singing, dancing, and a surprise cake during dinner. The beachfront location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and breakfast was excellent with a mix of Swahili dishes, fresh fruits, omelettes, pastries, and cereals. A perfect blend of relaxation, great service, and Kenyan hospitality — highly recommended!

Main reason to choose this accommodation was the proximity to the diving center and it proved a very good choice, We loved the feeling of the place, the room was comfortable and clean, good internet, nice and helpful staff.     Definitely do the tour of Fort Jesus and hire a local, official guide. Be prepared that this is a largely Islamic culture. Gentlemen covering knees and women covering shoulders is a thing. Also, alcohol is not as commonly available as other cities. There is a street food tour that is fabulous. Highly recommend. Very informative.

    It's has variety of things. Great restaurants nearby like the Istanbul Beach Cave Restaurant. Great malls and entertainment joints. It was exciting to learn that the Old Bobs is the new 1922 club.

    It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on...

    It is not a place for a holiday, I was there to check on some of my Property but I was frustrated because I ended up staying for more Days than I had wanted. It is loud and congested.but if one has his own home is Ok but there are other nice places to enjoy and have fun It easy to get round Mtwapa, by Tax Tuk tuk and motor Bikes and public means of transport called Matatus.

    You have to know that Nyali is not a quiet place.

    You have to know that Nyali is not a quiet place. At night you can hear many nightclubs but at least they stopped at a certain time. The beach is also crowded but offers many different amenities. It is not an upscale destination like it used to be

    Victoria courts is one of the worst apartment.. will not recommend to any visitor because you will not like the hospitality there.. the rooms were not as per my specification and they didn’t bother to listen to me after reaching out to them severally. I had booked for 5 nights fully paid but had to spend one night and forego the 4 nights. They didn’t refund my money though and the didn’t care. Clients be warned!!!

    Mombasa has amazing beaches and it takes you back in time (old town) while Nyali has stunning beaches and a different vibe. Its safe and secured, people are friendly. This was my 2nd time to visit Mombasa.

    Its a nice town bustling with activity and its proximity to other amenities such as clubs, many nice restaurants, supermarkets, shops is very nice. Transport is easily available to other parts of the town, very friendly people, a variety of restaurants serving local dishes, barbeque chicken is a favourite and readily available every evening.

    The area is busy and has shopping centres and hotels in close proximity. People are friendly and welcoming. Nyali can be great for someone on a work trip.There's a coffee house, a shopping mall and its easy and safe to get around on foot despite the dust.

    We were looking for a family holiday by the sea and can thoroughly recommend Mombasa. The apartment was on Lido beach which suited us perfectly and found a local taxi driver to take us to attractions such as Haller Park and Wild Water (water slides). The city is busy and there's significant work being done to the roads. So expect the occasional jam and some very bumby roads. In July the temp was just under 30 degrees C and there was a refeshing breeze from the south to temperate this. That also seemed to keep the mosquitoes at bay. We were pleasantly surprised to find some very good restaurants (e.g. CJ's near Wild Water - good food and good service). We didn't sample the night life nor take a safari to Amboseli - something for next time!
