Absolutely loved our time in Seoul!

Absolutely loved our time in Seoul! It’s a very modern city with deep rooted history woven throughout the skyscrapers and futuristic landmarks. The tour to the DMZ was an unforgettable day that’s left an indelible mark on my heart. We learned so much about the complications, pain and suffering these beautiful people have endured since their country became divided. That was a once in a lifetime opportunity!

I absolutely LOVED Seoul!

I absolutely LOVED Seoul! I heard mixed reviews before coming here, such as it was busy and touristy. While this was true in some areas, the city is big enoug hthat you can have so many different experiences. It is also clean, safe, and extremely walkable <3 the touristy places are not too touristy (mostly asian tourists so I sill felt like I was far from home) and still worthwhile seeing! I could have spent a whole week here but only had four days and five nights. Kamsahamnida Seoul, I will be back!!

Seoul (and Busan) are super clean, safe and friendly.

Seoul (and Busan) are super clean, safe and friendly. Everything was destroyed by the Korean War in the 1950s, so almost everything today is modern and high-tech. We can't praise the friendliness of the people too much. If you look a bit lost, many will stop and offer advice without being asked. We were struck by the honesty of retailers. There is no tipping anywhere. A couple of times, we accidentally offered more than the cost of the item, and the retailers were quick to accept only the expected cost. Be prepared to navigate the subway system, which, like the rest of Seoul, is clean and the people are courteous, but use an AI agent to plan your daily itinerary and prompt it for details of which trains to catch, the stops before and after, as well as the departure stop, and the colour of the line you will be on. This may be the world's most modern subway system, but it takes a few days to feel comfortable navigating it. Be prepared to walk, walk and walk some more. Even when transferring trains, you often have to walk 5-10 minutes between lines. Prices are inexpensive by comparison with Europe and America, and travel between cities is fast and surprisingly cheap. Seoul is the political and economic hub of Korea, but Busan is equally modern and has clean, lovely beaches. We love Korea and the Koreans, and you will too.
