We arrived at Whisky point not knowing what to expect. All I can say is that it exceeded our expectations in every way! We ended up extending our stay and became great friends with the owner, Nicola and his entire team! The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were exceptional! It could be the best Pizza I have ever eaten in my life. The fact that you are living on the beachfront, which is super clean with no crowds and a few minutes walk away from Pottuvil Point where you can catch good surf when the swell is good or swim off the main rock when its flat, makes this place the perfect location, away from the madness of Arugam Bay which can get super crowded. You can catch a tuk tuk to A Bay and be there in 10 minutes if you want to go into the A Bay. I am going to miss this place and my friends and will be back for sure! 10/10 all the way!

The rooms are little shacks by the beach which gives a charming vibe to the hotel as a whole. The inside is not very modern but is clean, with comfortable beds and AC. The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. The food there is delicious and comes with a nice view. Lastly the hotel provides all kind of services to lift you stay such as laundry services, tuktuk services (if you need to go to arugam bay) or connexions to book surf lessons or a safari tour.

We felt like home, everything is made for you to feel good, the pool is amazing, bungalows are super comfy, restaurant is really good (even the European food but also the local food not to spicy l, you can ask on demand), owners really helpful, friendly, here for you and the staff is joyful and super friendly to ! Many thanks to the owners, the staff and Joy for their hospitality. If we have the chance to come back, we’ll return for sure

This hotel is brand new, so everything feels clean, fresh, and modern. The facilities are excellent — each room has a lovely outdoor chill-out area, and the garden adds a nice relaxing touch. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The location is quiet but close enough to walk to the beach. The accommodation is basic but fully functional and I had the best sleep here each night out of my whole 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. Enjoyed being able to choose breakfast from the menu. Rifai and family were very friendly and Rifai helped with all my questions and arranged a tuktuk for me. The family have recently opened this accommodation and are currently building another room. Please support local!

The Swiss Bay Hotel is set in a truly beautiful and naturally serene environment. Staying here brought us great joy. The staff were incredibly kind and took excellent care of us throughout our stay. We definitely wish to return to Swiss Bay Hotel again in the future.
